Some are retro-styled,while others are still accurate!
The details are superb for their size!(similar to Japaneese figurines)

Congratulation Mihnea, it's a great catch and I'm sure you enjoyed them.

Those PVs are a lesson to nowadays "toob" manufacturer. So tiny but so finely made... Very Happy

Congratulations Mihnea!
Yes, Christophe collection is very nice to pick some of the best prehistoric figures! monkey But I'm sure that you, with the age of Kiki will have a huge knowledge too... or better, you are already one of our experts in prehistoric life, DTF School??? :)

I don't wanna brag, but I have bought some paleontology books normally used in universities to study more about dinosaurs and their enverioments. They are both in English and very well made and up-to-date!
I am a member of DTF too!

That is the way to do it !!!!
I must admit I find the prehistoric figueres more and more fascinating, and the more one knows, the more wonderful they are.

BTW, - sorry I asked about your avatar in another link, - here was the ansver !
But if you can tell something about the different creatures, I would be very interested.

This set, as the prehistoric amphibians and preshistoric mammal sets, were inspired by the illustrations of the 1988 "Marshall illustrated encyclopedia of Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Animals"

The tiny ichtiosaur is called mixosaurus. It was around 1m long and lived all over the world during the mid Triassic.

The striped ichtiosaur is a Shonisaurus, same as the Schleich one I have described earlier.

The long-necked fella is an Elasmosaurus.Everyone knows about him,he is present in all major lines.

The crocodile with 4 fins is a Metriorhynchus, which lived during the Kimmeridgian stage of the Jurassic era.It is one of the more evolved marine crocodiles, reaching 3m in length.

The lizard like marine reptile is Placodus,a shell eater from the middle Triassic.
He was around 2m long and lived both in Europe and China.

Henodus is also a placodont, not a turtle. It lived in Germany during the late triassic stages. It only had one tooth to crush shells and may have lived both in saltwater and freshwater/brackish enverioments. It was around 1m long.

Mosasaurus is one of the first marine reptiles ever discovered. It lived in the late Cretaceous period and measured 15m.

Nothosaurus lived during the Triassic period in Europe,Cihna and Africa, and could reach 4m in length. It had a similar lifestyle to the seals we see today.

What a great set Mihnea, they look great!
And thank you for the good explanation on the species, and the time they were living in. Cool
