| Interesting list! Thanks for sharing it. Overall, it does seem like a lot of unnecessary repeats. The Maine Coon sounds vaguely interesting, but unless the sculpting on these is phenomenal, they sound like easy passes for me personally. It's a shame there are no new draft horses or ponies again. |

| If my translation is correct, Schleich is releasing a tarantula? This is new territory for them and I am happy. Mojo is doing it too this year. Maybe these companies are finally seeing the benefits of creepy-crawlies ;-) |

| If I have translated correctly, they are focusing heavily on small dogs which I find interesting (it hasn't been done by this brand for a few years now). I have felt that a new gray wolf was needed for a while now, let's just see if they can do better than the last one... A raccoon isn't really unique, but again has been ignored for a few years. Their domestic line has needed some attention in terms of new models other than horses. Just a pity they aren't a little more unique. Cat is a little exciting though since it's not "just" a generic cat.
The two models that jump out at me are the tarantula (to give credit when it's due, this would be a very exciting change of pace for Schleich) and the quokka! (A cutesy animal, but again not nearly as common as everything else on that list).
My only question is... What does Katta mean? Is that a name for a human figure for instance? _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Ok thank you! That's the only one I couldn't translate.
So if this list is accurate, it appears that they are trying to diversify their range of wildlife. It's still not on par with CollectA or Papo for instance in terms of species. But I appreciate the effort (so far anyhow). _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Although my expectations aren't incredibly high...I'm overly curious about the wolf and lynx. I'm really hoping they won't use that 'sheep coat' texture on their wolves as even though I have their current ones, it is a major turn off for me.
Also super curious about the wolf mother and pup further down the list as well as shiba inu mother and pup.
(Although it looks to me like they are following other companies releases now...hmmm. Which is funny considering how many people jump the gun and acuse other major brands of "copying Schleich". Haha) |

Also the lynx, lemur, main coon cat, okapi and a few others as well :) I really hope they make them anatomically correct... _________________ ~Karin~

I've noticed this too. Perhaps it's an attempt to appeal more towards girls, however, in my opinion, it won't necessarily work. You can see by everyone's preferences on this site that girls love a wide variety of dog breeds (I have noticed that those resembling herding dogs or wolves actually seem to be the most popular). Ideally, they should release both big and small dogs of representing a large variety of breeds. This should please almost everyone. |

| Ooh more has been added since yesterday.
The grizzly mother and wolf mother with offspring us interesting. It's probably not a molded together set (like Safari has done previously). But I wonder why they are introducing "maternity" sets now, along with the Shiba.
As long as they look ok these could be interesting additions. It could explain the lone wolf release further up the list, if it's intended to go along with this other set. (Since they are pack animals, it bothers me a little if they released alone). _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Thank you so much for sharing! This is actually really early, so I think this could bring some problems with Schleich. I'm not impressed by the list, but there are some interessting species in the list. Could the missing animal be the Okapi? Edit: sorry, didn't noticed that it was allready there. |

Edit: sorry, didn't noticed that it was allready there. As long as we don't add any photos, I think we are doing nothing wrong :) This year we had no problems with Schleich, images where added correctly respecting their asked rules. I trust we, as STS, can do this again. Even if you see leaked images anywhere and everywhere on the internet, don't add them until either Schleich releases them themselves or within a one/two month period before the item is released into the stores (being available). _________________ ~Karin~

I doubt it's a complete list. There are no prehistoric figures on there, or any sea creatures. Unless they finally stopped making prehistoric animals... Also, I notice the list also included a new Komodo Dragonand a new Okapi...let's see how these look, since their original ones were both pretty great! _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection!
