the bobcat an the clouded leopard from Colorata are very good  and at scale I love a lot!

Susanne, I think I prefer the version 2 of the Schleich Lynxes!.. :)

I remeber, when Atis asked me to repaint the oldest one for him ... it turned out well,
but it is very difficult to make a amodel, which is not so good sculpted into a masterpiece...
So now, I think, that the newest one can be make as a masterpiece, because it has a very nice sculpture :)

Caracal, - it is interesting that you say that, and that Kosta contemplates to repaint the last one .
I agree that no 2 looks best, but perhaps it is the paintwork ?

I was also thinking that it is a shame that it has such sparce paintwork, butunlike you, I do not have the eye for spotting a good model through bad paintwork

Schleich last lynx is way too large and the fur looks more realistic on the second version, I agree.

I did not buy the last one although my second version is a bit damaged...

The first version was awful, even for a vintage one, one of the ugliest figures in my collection for sure.

By chance, we have now the last Papo one, Well sculpted, painted, and not too big! :)

No brand has ever got the lynx right in my opinion, not even Papo with its latest rendition although it is a huge improvement over the previous one.

Well, the face mostly. I would say that the Lynx's so particular eyes have not been reproduced on the figure.

Looks perfect on the promo pic but that's another story in stores. However, as always, painting is different from one copy to another.

Find me a Papo lynx as well painted as the promo pic, just like your snow leopard, and I'll send you a lot more alligators to spoil your friends !

Mine looks pretty OK, but I perfectly understand what you say. Unfortunately Lynx is not the best presented animal by figure manufacturers.. Still, the Papo one has to be the best, it also has the right size for a Schleich/Collecta collector, which is weird for a Papo cat figure..

Lynces were never very common among animals replicas and bobcats even less. Here the 3 I have, at a little scale:

 Here with the K&M lynx from "Big Cats" toob, which, according to me, presents the characteristics of a bobcat:
