| hard to rule! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Two young african buffaloes have been driven out from the herd by the bull and stayed together as a team.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] They are unquiet.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] and they are right because Elsa the lioness and her daughter are observing them for a while!.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Elsa sents her daughter to turn around the two bovids under the wind.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .. as she is approaching them hidden in the high grasses.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] But she has been noticed! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The buffaloes go out from the deceptive grasses and reach an open and hard ground ready for the assault.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Elsa's daughter turns them, roaring to get their watch.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The younger buffalo faces her immediatly!.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .. but not the other one who continues to fix Elsa.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The two companions form a good team.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .. no way to avoid horns and maybe hard wound in case of attack like this poor Simba who could not join the chase today.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .. So the lioness let their game leave.. in good order!.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] With one lioness or lion more, they could have caught the younger one! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] THE END (walking and crawling Elsa from Papo, walking and lying daughter from Schleich, rrroarring daughter from CollectA, buffaloes from Schleich and Papo)

| that was a tense story!! you are an excellent storyteller!! buffalos will generally charge at lions that are stalking them. I watched a few buffalo from a herd repeatedly charge a couple of lions who were stalking them. They made the lions retreat back. The buffalo truly are fearless and brave and not afraid of lions. The lion may be the king of the jungle but the buffalos are the most dangerous if you are on their wrong side |

| Thank you Annette and you are perfectly right, buffalos are considered as the most dangerous animals in african savannah! :) |

| Wonderful story with great pictures and a lot of talent! I am not sure buffalos are the most dnagerous. They cannot stand against rhinos, if you put a density of black rhinos similar to buffalos, I'm sure domino would be the favorite game in Africa. Hippos are also very dangerous, especially when they say hi to a visitor. |

| unbelievable discovery of a new cat species in South Cameroon equatorial forest!
first shoots of what seems to be a "forest caracal" by the well known naturalist-ranger Daniel: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]surprised on the floor.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].. he escaped by trees! "His cryptic spotted coat, shorter legs and longer tail are the ones of a forest dweller" said Daniel who proposes "Caracal silvestris danieli" as taxonomic apellation. He added that this species was known for centuries by local people who call him "Mgwa" or "Nunda". Bernard Heuvelmans, the fondator of new cryptozoology science, had collected some testimonies from different african raining forest areas!

| Many thanks to you four Andreas, Roger, Paige and Pardo! Yes Roger and Pardo, it's a fake new I imagined after to have got this curious felid from Chap-meï who made me to think to the legendary mgwa purchased by cryptozoologists and revealed by Bernard Heuveulmans in his famous book "Sur la piste des bêtes ignorées" Looking at this model, it's clear that the head is a caracals's one, but the body proportions and the coat are rather the ones of a climber cat, that's why I thought to a "forest Caracal". What is surprising is that the main hypothesis for the Mgwa is the one of a giant golden cat who now belongs to the genus "Caracal" too! At first, I got this Chap-Meï model to custom it in true caracal with a short tail and unicolour coat for I feel fustrate because of the lack of Caracals models by modern and main brands. I just have the Yowies UK 97(that I love!) and the Starlux ones. But since we'll soon have one from Schleich, I prefered to keep him as "forest caracal" who maybe will discovered in the future! |

| Alain, I enjoy your observations. I also think the model is very charismatic despite not representing with accuracy any particular species. |

| Thank you Roger and Annette! Annette, you already encountered ranger Daniel (from Schleich) in many of my little stories so, since it''s he, who discovered this new cat species and gaved his own name in its latin appellation, the joke was so evident to me that I couldn't imagine you would waste your time with google! I am sorry.. but a little happy too, if my little story could seem a little realistic to you! :) |
