You continue impressing me with your collection. I love these old 1:32 scale figures. They're all so cool with their own styles and story. I have a few of them but in any point comparable with what you have.

Yvette, these 2 lions are from Starlux like the 2 following lionesses and the 2 cubs just before.. :)

It is very interesting to see some tube sized figures, from modern companies, displayed together with these emblematic vintage rarities. It is obvious that we still have a lot to enjoy with your collection.

..and with repaint and unknown chinese brands others..

Despite being quite popular and known animals, pumas were never very common in toy shape. Even among modern companies, Schleich released a single one for a short time and it was never replaced. Bullyland made it also for a single year. We have the two from Papo, the Mojö figure and Safari, as a US company, that made a few of them. CollectA never released it. It is natural that they're not very common among vintage European brands but I am not sure they were common among North American vintage brands.

you're right Rogério, puma was not very common even amongst vintage North America brands, maybe because of the shape and colour similarity with lioness.. and maybe the same similarity betwen leopards and jaguars did not encourage vintage brands to produce these latters..

I have the same understanding of the phenomenon. If I am not wrong, one vintage USA brand used the same mould to a puma and a lioness. Well, we shouldn't feel surprised, not long ago, Safari used the same mould for a puma and a jaguar and it was in a prestigious line as it is the Wildlife Wonders.

Maybe, because many people, especially children, will recognize a Puma model always as a Lioness.
