| The most impressive thing is that - with very few excepction, such as the penguins - all figures are at the same scale! :) I love that! :) _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| It seems Britains influenced a lot your love for this hobby. I can't remember when I got my last Britains, but I have a little collection and I love a lot their figures. Not only because they fit together but also because they have wonderfully sculpted figures. |

| Great collection. Do you have farm animals too? I agree that one of the attractions of Britains animals is that they are to scale. As you say, they aren’t always perfectly to scale, but most are. Your comment about the size of the animals made me measure them. The orang utan is indeed too large. Different websites mention a standing height of 137-150 cm for a male, but at 1:32 scale the sitting Britains orang is already 128 cm (4 cm). Its legs add about 80 cm, so that would make it huge.
The size of the other animals you mention is pretty close though. The Britains water buffalo is 131 cm (4.1 cm). That would indeed be very small for a wild water buffalo (150-190 cm, Wikipedia), but it’s the right size for a domesticated buffalo (120-133 cm). It does indeed look more like a domesticated buffalo as far as I can tell.
The Britains red deer is 128 cm (4 cm). The British Deer Society says that stags are 107-137 cm, so yes, red deer are pretty big. The standing baboon is 112 cm (3.5 cm). If it’s a Chacma baboon, then that size is possible (though large): Wikipedia says that their body length is 50-115 cm, which I assume is their standing length.
But they are not all perfect. For example, the wolf, llama and polar bears are rather small. But because I grew up with the Britains animals, I still find it hard to believe that real wolves, llamas and polar bears are indeed so large! |

| when I was a child, Britains replicas were not available in the town I lived closed, and I grew up with mostly Starlux and some Hong kong replicas but when I discovered this brand, I was very surprised by the eland, the gaur, the wild water buffalo, the african and indian elephants and rhino which were far bigger than the Starlux ones and at the good scale!.. |

| May I ask for the length and height of the indian and the black rhinoceros?
Are they to big to be used for 1/35 instead of 1/32?
Many thanks in advance. _________________ Christoph
