| Christophe asked me to start the October SUY since we had a tie (and late start) in September. Actually, it is more appropriate for me to start a topic on 'venomous creatures' in October as we celebrate Halloween this month! :) Ideas for this post: -venomous snakes and lizards -stinging insects -venomous spiders, scorpions, centipedes -poisonous amphibians -venomous fish -venomous octopi, jellyfish, etc. -the platypus :-) -many others I am at work right now, so I am going to be lazy and start this thread with a copy-paste of the Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. Venomous Snakes collection: 1. inland taipan, Oxyuranus microlepidoptus. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2. desert death adder, Acanthophis pyrrhus. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]3. black mamba, Dendroaspis polylepis. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]4. Belcher's sea snake, Hydrophis belcheri. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]5. painted coral snake, Micrurus corallinus. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I only collect prehistoric figures, and there aren't many that are known to be venomous. So I can't contribute, but I'm excited to watch :) |

| Great start Blaine, The Takara Tomy snakes set is a miss in my collection and I'm not surprised it reached your shelves. I still always think I will catch a set one day but there is so much things I want to catch... - bmathison1972 wrote:

| These are two venomous species in the genus Hapalochlaena: the greater blue-ringed octopus ( H. lumulata) by K&M International and the blue-lined octopus, ( H. fasciata) by Kaiyodo. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
