The yellow-eyed penguin is amazing, and my favourite penguin species. I would want it for my collection if it didn't had a base.

Good! I supposed that because belongs to the same set that a penguin I have (Adelie's) and is also detachable. However, given the position of the feet in this model, it can't stand on its own without the base.

That last photo is amazing!!!!!!!!!! It almost looks like you traveled to New Zealand!
