| Scheduled 2020 Capsule Q release, scarabaeoid beetles: Looks like two Allomyrina dichotoma (?), Dynastes hercules, and Cheirotonus jambar; cannot tell is the all-black Dynastes is a color-morph of D. hercules or D. neptunus. It's possible these are re-used sculpts, at least some of them, but nice to see Kaiyodo doing an insect-focused set again! Surprisingly, as commonly made as A. dichotoma is, Kaiyodo has only made it twice before! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| From the ATF...
There is a (purse version 2 but cool) frog set scheduled for January as well.
As I wrote on that site...
(Starting with December's Wild Rush 4,) Kaiyodo releasing 3 CQ animal sets in as many months...
What is happening??

| Was the Wild Rush IV ever released? Is it already known which otter species belong to it? Thanks for keeping us informed about the Japanese figures. Wild Rush at least brings an interesting figure to my collection of foxes. |

Thanks for keeping us informed about the Japanese figures. Wild Rush at least brings an interesting figure to my collection of foxes. Roger, it is supposed to release this month I believe. The otter is the Asian small-clawed otter! |

| Purse/charm frogs in January and beetles last month. Caterpillars in May.
Certainly expected are Wild Rush 5 and 6 (presumably Australia and North America) and at least one prehistoric set.
Trust I'm equally eager (for sales and especially for my own collection). Brett

| Funny, I just sent this same info to my mailing list a few days ago. Eikoh used to be June and December and have slowly moved ahead a few weeks each year. Hopefully they'll be two new sets any day.
Also waiting to see if the Ikimon Nature Technicolour dino skeleton set gets produced and for the Ikimon NT Chinese set. And new Favorite softmodels.
And more Kaiyodos in general would be extremely welcome... Brett |

| Ha ha. I share your impatience.
I e-mailed E yesterday asking about new figures, and she told me what she always does when I do that, that she'll let me know as soon as she has news... |

| A few things... My source in Japan just sent me this link to the Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shop--a site I didn't know existed... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Apparently things sell out there very quickly so I'm going to watch it closely. I like the sold out mata mata, but certainly not for the price. The still available olms are interesting though. Also, though it's not a 2020 figure, I only recently learned about the ((clearly) rarely offered) Ueno Zoological Park Kaiyodo giant panda figure (only for sale in China) and my source just got me three of them--one for my own collection and two to sell. Though there are a lot of giant panda figures, I thought this one rather quintessential. It's the first figure I've gotten to add to my collection since Wild Rush 4 in November. See it here (And please PM if interested.)... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]And speaking of Wild Rush--a bit of potentially disappointing news... Since the show upon which the intended 6 sets was cancelled, we're not sure if sets 5 and 6 are going to be produced. Of course I'll update immediately with any news. Brett

| Thanks, Dirk and Roger and yes, Kosta, I strongly agree.
I asked both of my sources and neither found any information on 5 and 6--either positive or negative.
Not a good year at all for us Kaiyodo collectors--unless you're Blaine... ; ) |
