| Now I get it.
I can appreciate preferences and parameters.
Since I can't imagine anyone much more persnickety than me when it comes to Kaiyodo, I just couldn't understand when I thought it was about the quality of the work itself.
As much as I don't love the repetition, in my eyes in a number of cases the later versions are such improvements over previous ones that I went from having a figure/species I wouldn't to one I was very happy to display. |

For someone who only collects Kaiyodo and who has also complained in the past about the lack of diversity (lol), these two arthropod sets will get you 7 new species, Brett ;-) (well 6 new species plus one first in that developmental stage) |

| 3 or 4 or maybe 5 for me...
I'll display the 3 (I virtually never collect paint variants.) smaller spider sculpts. But the one in the photo in the hand is so big that I don't know that I'll think it fits well in my collection.
But I find the caterpillars too toy-like for the most part. Can I explain that further? I don't think I can.
It's just the way they strike me. I don't think there's anything at all wrong with them. They just don't come off to me as naturalistic as the hundreds I like. Even though they're in many cases life size, they look to me more like pieces of plastic than the actual animals. But I might try for one of the two variants since it is so cool, and see if my brain takes to it upon seeing it...
That said, I do have the two older ones I find most realistic in my collection and on display.
And I fully support anyone's not understanding me here...

| One thing everyone needs to understand is that companies like Kaiyodo and other Japanese companies, they cater to the Japanese audience. They don't care about a collector in the US or Europe. They are marketing to their own audience. Which is why, among insects for example, we get so many large scarab beetles, giant hornets, and giant mantids. These are very popular animals in Japanese culture. Hence, repetition. Or, why so much of the fauna is Japanes/Asian (also leading to repetition). |

| No one really needs more pandas, but the developmental series of three on the right could be intriguing! |

| For me, this set is definitely about the younger ones.
I'm thankful they're not articulated like toys like the older ones. |

| Revogeo four - looks nice and not nearly as large as other Revogeo figures (at least it appears that way based on the person's hand). |

Not sure yet; I don't know nymphal odonates at all. However, one must consider Anotogaster sieboldii given its preponderance in toy form by Japanese companies |

I don't remember the technical characters anymore, but at first glance I thought it just looked too slender for a cordulegastrid. Not what you'd call a good synapomorphy. _________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

I thought about shape as well; my few figures of A. sieboldii nymphs are rather broad. I guess we will know when it is finalized! |

Please PM if interested.
Thanks. Brett |

| Hey Dirk.
I'm making this question public since I know many people would like to know the answer...
Have you heard anything official about the cancellation of the Capsule Q Museum Wild Rush series sets 5 and 6 (due to the cancellation of the TV series upon which the figures were based)?
Thanks. Brett |

Thanks. Brett I haven't heard anything official about the cancellation of the Capsule Q Museum Wild Rush series sets 5 and 6, Wild Rush 5 may be released in WF2021 winter on February 11, 2021. However, the cartoon character series based on the Wild Rush series was indeed not released together with Wild Rush 4. This may cancel the sale of the cartoon character series. |

| That's very good (and very unexpected) news.
I only ask this in case you assume I already knew but do you have any more information about either of the sets? We assumed they'd cover North American and Australia but have no information and certainly no images.
(I also have some potential sources in China lined up to help me get the Ikimon Nature Techni Colour Yangtze sets and am going to send you a PM with a question or two about how those are distributed in China, if you don't mind...).
Thanks very much again. Brett |

Thanks very much again. Brett I just deduced it based on the previous law of the Wild Rush series released by Kaiyodo. At least Wild Rush 4 conforms to this law. If you have any problems, you can send me a PM or email to me, I think you know my email address, we emailed each other . |

| I'd have thought the two sets would have issued this year at those times, but I hope you're right.
Hopefully the adjustment of not offering the characters in set 4 is a good sign of that being the only response to the cancellation of the TV series.
Thanks again and I'll e-mail soon. Brett |
