Omo premiums animals

when I was a child, a long time ago in the sixties, we collected these animals found in Omo barrils of washing powder:



zebras, Big and little models



african buffalo, big and little models



american bison, big and little models



asian elephant, big an little models



camels, big and little models



hippopotamus, big and little models



indian rhinoceros, big and little models



giraffes, the big and little models are different and very elegant



lions, big models (I never saw little ones)



lioness, big and little models



tiger, big and little models



polar bear, big and little models



fox, little model ( I don't know if there is a big model.)


I don't know other models..



they all are curiously slim!



except the hippopotamus..

Oh, I like them very much !
All of them with nice details and special, vintage charm .

No Andreas, to my knowledge, only these 13 species.. :)

Just as Kosta, I love these figures and also because of their vintage charm. The design is also very reminescent of the French vintage figurines, I guess.
I remember seeing a long time ago a Spanish blog talking about these figures but I don't know why now I can't find anything just using Google.
Spanish figures were painted and the fox, for instance, was not available in Spain.
I think the lioness is also used as a black panther and that there is alos a kangaroo, maybe a penguin and a few more. I will let you know if I ever find that blog again.
I saved in my pc this picture, probably from that blog, showing a promotional from a Spanish newspaper.

The spanish figures were painted with natural colours or "flashy"ones?..

If you could find some samples on spanish ebay, it would be fine, above all with new species that were'nt available in France like kagaroo!..

..by mistake, the fox is often sold as "loup" (wolf) on french ebay!.. because nobody kept the boxes..

When I was a child, we had only the little lioness and with its little head and lack of stuff at the top of tail, I was convinced it was a puma!

Curiously, I never met lion small model.. It's maybe very rare or doesn't exist..

They are not hard to find in Spanish auction websites. If it is correctly described, one of the most interesting is this lot.

oh yes! I see the 2 black lionesses, the white polar bear, the grey rhino and the reddish camel! it's strange for me to discover these so old models with natural colours and that gives me the desire to paint some of mines! thanks a lot Rogério!

Actually, using auction websites as a source is not very trustable thus my mistake. Often figures are misidentified by the sellers.
Luis, an autority regarding vintage Spanish figures, I think it is @incha on forum, claims on its wonderful blog that the Spanish series is composed by 12 figures. All of them can be seen in its blog through this link. Instead of painting, you could try to complete the Spanish collection.

I still have several of them.
But I don't remember that they came in two sizes.
I never owned the elephants though.
