| The collection is called "the Untamed Spirit" and your model is a Trakehner. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Picture belongs to E-ebay seller: dbtoys_inc |

| For the first time since September I made it to a flea market today. Wasn't able to buy everything (one vendor that has a lot of models tends to be way overpriced- he still has many of the AAA sea mammals I saw at his booth last September! ) but got a few. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Little Buster Hereford bull (Taylor want this one? Thought of you for it), 2001 Safari boar, unmarked ( maybe New Ray?) whitetail buck, AAA wolf [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2006 Safari fox, unmarked (maybe New Ray) except for breed dogs- Miniature Bull terrier, 'Deerdog' (not a breed I know- maybe some terrier or feist?), Bassett hound, unmarked shark, Sea World Great White shark, Greenbriar Int'l Dunkleosteous, very dirty AAA ray, Sea World Narwhal [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Unmarked dragon, AAA triceratops, no year Safari Corythosaurus, 1988 Safari Carnegie T rex, 1988 Safari Carnegie Pteranodon |

| It is really great that you can visit flea markets again! Congratulations for finding so many nice models. Your dogs are probably Happy Kin like those you can see on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] The white-tailed deer seems to be New-Ray indeed, maybe the buck from this family. Isn't Corythosaurus the Carnegie? Strange it has no year. Well, we will need a few pictures for TAW if possible. Namely the Sea World figures. |

| Sooo many fantastic finds, especially the dogs! The New Ray Bull Terrier and Basset are gorgeous, I love the dogs by New Ray because they generally do have sculpts that rival those by major brands! I love how they have done the Bull Terrier's muscles and pose- it really shows how proud and strong these dogs are! I've never heard of a Deer Dog, but this model is lovely!! Roger definitely got the right link- and I think the same mould was also used by Nayab, who I think sold it as part of their wonderful World's Famous Dogs series! Amazing that you found this little dog- it's so detailed and definitely has that intelligent look of some sort of terrier! I would say some sort of feist maybe too, probably one of any of the small breeds are used to track deer! |

| Great finds! The shark is the same mold as the chap mei tiger, painted to be a black tip reef this time from the looks of it. Maybe animal planet or whomever is using the molds these days has recycled it. The corythosaurus does look like a carnegie model, curious it has no year.
Besides that, that dog looks like a Decker rattie to me. Deckers were mostly used as bird dogs (besides ratting of course) but their breed history also includes "deer jumping", spooking deer so hunters can get their chance (more of a bird style of hunting but for deer instead of pheasants). Not quite muscular enough to be a decker for sure but that mold says rattie to me... _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Yes, I think you're definitely right, especially as you said they were known for ' deer jumping'! |

| Thanks, everyone! My first thought when I saw it was huh, never saw a solid fawn rat terrier.... so rattie it is lol. I saw a tricolor Sandicast basenji at another vendor, and my first thought was your Buck, Paige. Fix the tail and it would work.
The Corythosaur is the same mold as the Carnegie one- i just got the one I bought from Kiki today. But it isn't marked Carnegie like Kiki's model, and doesn't have the year as his does either. The paint, although same colors/pattern, is also different- it looks like the heavy glossy enamel like paint they used on the Authentics models. So a mystery maybe. I can get a photo of its stamp tomorrow, and it next to the Carnegie model, if wanted. |

| Ratties aren't supposed to be a solid color, but crossbreeds could fit that model. But I admit... if it looks close enough when I get it... its gonma be repainted as its just too similar to my boy to leave as is. I'd love a cocker spaniel model that looked remotely like Flynn or my old dog Pippen but they are usually too hairy. The basenji sounds handsome, but nothing is as good as the real thing. Just today he was being a pest messing around in my garden, a bit irritating, but then all of a sudden he just ambled over, looked me dead in the face and shoves his nose under my arm telling me I had done enough gardening and ot was his turn for attention and pets. The corythosaur sounds more and more interesting! Perhaps it was an early artist model for Safari or prototype? Before the complete, stamped, tagged, and marketed figures were made? I for one would love closer photos. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | The bull and boar are yours, Taylor! It's overcast and rainy with poor light today, so these photos of the corythosaurs are even worse than usual. But in hand, the different weight/gloss of the paint is apparent. I tried to show the difference. You can see how the stamps are mirrored as well, lending credence to what Rogerio said about the stamps being add- ons to, not integral to, the molds. | Interesting finds! The fish is stamped Greenbriar? That's the first time I can remember seeing one of those with a maker's mark. I have a very similar one in pink: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]_________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| This corythosaurus hides a mistery and I love misteries. Differences in painting are common in Carnegie models although I am not informed about the variations to check if it is the case. In any circunstance, the mirrored markings or the apparent difference in weight are not expectable. Could you translate the weight difference into numbers? I had no idea what was the use of a kitchen scale until starting collecting animal figures. There's a story behind that corythosaurus... |

| The fish is indeed stamped Greenbriar, Tim. Seems an odd choice for them, but I like it.
Roger, the Carnegie Corythosaur is 4.0 oz; the mystery one is 4.4 oz. Not a big difference, assuming my scale is accurate. |

Cool, good to know at least one company that was involved in its production. To my eye it looks like an acanthodian like Climatius. I like it too, as I generally like prehistoric fish :) _________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

The flea markets aren't yet open here, and they say that all that kind of businesses have had to throw tons and tons of good stuff away I hope they save the best, because actually in this area most is not better worth than garbage Ohhhh! They are SO wonderful - pipsxlch wrote:

| Thank you everyone! Guess I'm keeping Misterio, I'd guess from the paint used he is early 90s production. Took my husband fir a drive today, and stopped at a thrift store so he could look for a stool. I found these.
