| Beautyful models !!! So many I have never seen before, - like the ram with horns, and most of the poultry And - ohhh - all the little lambs Some of the smaller pigs at the back, and the smallest piglets to the front, right, are almost like Reisler (1962 and 1957) I wonder if Reisler copied Britains, or if it was the other way round , or if perhaps they co-operated ? _________________ SUSANNE |

| That's a very complete farm, Taylor! I hope you don't store it in an unattainable place once the Britains Farm section at the Toy Animal Wiki remains empty. Britains even have chicks at 1:32 scale, they're surely tiny. |

| What a great collection of littles! I really love the gray horned ram. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Thank you,Susanne,Roger and Paige. Roger-my Britains are close at hand if needed! The lovely ram is an Oxford Down and he is a really beautiful and well sculpted model. The cream coloured sheep are Kerry Hill and for some reason Britains never made a ram of this breed. Susanne-the pigs at the back were later models by Britains and were only made for a short period of time. The oldest models are that ones in the pig sty and next are the ones at the front which Britains went back to making after their brief experiment with the models at the back.It would be interesting to see the Reisler models for comparison! |

| There is already a page about Britains Plastic Far here! @Rogerpgvg did it, not me, and it is already one of the best structured pages I've ever seen at the wiki. George Orwell couldn't do it better. It was just an empty page not long ago and now it is only begging for photographs. Roger, the genuine once I am Rogério, is doing a remarkable editing work at the Toy Animal Wiki. |

| When I saw Susanne's post here, I didn't dare to reply, but felt very guilty, as I have all the information to create the Britains farm pages. The pages still far from complete, but it's great to see that the Susanne's photos have been added. I am hoping to go back to my home tomorrow to pick up my catalogues, so I can slowly add the other farm animals too. It will take some time to find all the information about numbers, years, etc.
More on topic: The late piglets you have are very rare, Taylor. I still haven't found the black ones. |

| More information on Britains pigs: In 1968 Britains started to change to PVC plastic and PVC paints for their figures. Also from 1969 they decided to reduce their Farm animal range and start introducing new mouldings. In 1971 Britains introduced ten new Farm animal mouldings. Four of these were pigs. These are the first four from the left: Piglet standing, sow, Saddleback boar and piglet feeding. Both the sow and boar were available in pink and Saddleback versions. They were all withdrawn in 1992. The piglets from 1971 to 1992 may have been available in black as well as pink. The piglets were re-introduced in 1995 to replace their replacements! From 1995 they were definitely available in black as well as pink. The two pink piglets on the right are made in a translucent type plastic. The Old Spot sow was introduced in 1992 and originally made in China. The piglets above have: "Britains Eng" on their bellies. The pink sow has: "Britains Ltd England 1971 (C)" on her belly. The Saddleback boar has: "Britains Ltd 1971 (C) England" on his belly. _________________ Chris |
