| What a beautiful family Sergey! I'm glad you liked it and I'm happy the Mojo beaver found a great family! Is only missing the Uncle Same, known here as Safari American beaver! I love the detail of the paws, every single digit is carefully sculpted! |

| With the exception of the Papo beaver, the others are all basically in the same position. Why not make one in a swimming position(like the Papo platypus)?

... near "same position"... Be attentive my friend: Papo - is sit on two back legs,ok! Schleich - is standing on 4 legs Coleecta - is coming Mojo - is sit and some eating Nayab - is standing on 4 legs (as Schleich) It,s almost all positions of this animal! The beaver has,nt many interesting position! |

The Mojo beaver is in a different pose from the others... I think the Papo is preparing to diving, maybe the water is too cold, try to wait some time and he dives! |

| My point is this...there is a lot of "copycatting". Wish these companies would be different(If they want to make a beaver, fine, do it in a swimming/diving position instead of the basic standing), think outside the box(Papo's sitting beaver is different), and try to be more original! |

I agree with different poses, mainly when we are seeing what is not the first version of a figure from a brand! It is very hard to make an animal in a not apealing pose when it is in the first year production! But, for example, Schleich makes another beaver in future, I think they should make it in a different pose from previous! Simce you know the Nort American fauna, maybe you can help me here, I agree when poses are educational, it means that the figure is represented in a position that shows any characteristic from the species! We can see it in the male CollectA swan, the Safari warthog and in drinking giraffes! As you know, is not usual the completly standing pose in European beavers, it is much more usual with American beavers! Thinking that the Papo is an European species don't you think that the pose was a bad choice??? Or is it an American??? |

| No, Papo's choice of a sitting beaver was fine. I have friends in Alaska, and I saw a pic of him with a tamed beaver, in a sitting position! |

Balty, have you read my complete comment??? This pose is characteristic of American beavers and I think the Papo is an European beaver that usually adopts a pose more like the Mojo beaver, ... or is the Papo beaver an American?? |

| From what I read up on beavers, the Papo looks more like the North American beaver. |

| If you go to wikipedia.com, there is some good info on the physiological differences of the North American and European beavers. |
