| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]We set out and photographed our Cheetahs to compare the work of the different sculptors. (Then, we set out our Pumas and our Lynxes.) Here are the Cheetahs, dating from the 1930s to 2018. Top Row: 2 Hausser Elastolin composition Cheetahs from the 1930s mould. The one on the left is repainted; the one on the right is in its original 1950s factory paint. Second Row, left to right: Schleich 14746 Female 2016. Schleich 14747 Cub 2016. Schleich 14143 Female 1998. Safari 271929 Adult Cheetah 1998. Safari 272029 Cub 1998. Safari 290429 Running 1998. Third Row, left to right: Schleich 14327 Cheetah Kitten 2004. | I love pictures with many brands together. I hope you also show your other wild cat friends. I never understood why cheetahs, very popular these days, are rarely found among vintage brands. I am sure it was a very popular animal already. I think I will add the CollectA king cheetah to my collection someday. |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This is the ''King Cheetah'' that Hausser never made. As he is home-made, we didn't include him in the photograph with the commercial models. Thanks, everyone, for your kind remarks. We will post pics of the Pumas and Lynxes soon. | Lovely comparison picture. Roger, maybe one of the reasons that Cheetahs were not popular among the older brands is that they were difficult to keep in captivity until 1960-70s and so maybe they then become more popular as models. |

| Wonderful vintage custom! My only king cheetah is also a repaint but a much more modern one. It is the standing Papo cheetah repainted by Anna Dobrowolska. - Taos wrote:

That may be a good explanation. |

| Amazing !! Here I think that you two have a world-class collection of composition models, and then here you show us a gorgeous collection of all kinds of cheetah models Cheetahs spanning 90 years , - how many people could show that ? Surely a photo that can bring a blissful smile on the face of most collectors - castlerigg wrote:

| Thank you, we're glad you're enjoying them!
Just for the record, that "Hausser" King Cheetah really IS home made and not a repaint. Lesley cast some plaster pieces from the Hausser original and modelled the rest in Miliput and ModPodge.
