Now, I found out that the pigeon from Papo fits more with a Rock dove:

a pigeon is just a feral rock dove, and no way one can separate the two an a small piece of PVC ;-)

BUT, the toy can go either way! Domestic, wild, or feral!

That's true and I will use it as a Rock dove Very Happy

Today, this one arrived: I found the older White Stork from Schleich. I think, that this one is by far the best model of this species.

Oooo congratulations! That is, I agree, the best model for one out there. And such an iconic species for Europe! Congrats!

Who could believe a pigeon figure getting so popular. I hope to get one for my collection too. Nice stork, that's a species which does not receive the best renditions and it is so iconic for European culture.

That's right. Even though White Storks are very popular, they don't have enough good models.

There's a cooperation of Edeka, WWF and Schleich and that's probably the reason why these models are out already.
