| These wild animals are cheap bazar copies sold by six in set (with a polar bear and a chamois I lost). Here are cheap bazar copies of domestic breeds also sold in sets of 6 (2 cows, 2 ewes, 2 pigs and 2 dogs) they all look like Clairet ones but are different. now some original figures: ( picture from here, STS forum by Thierry) ( pictures from french forum "soldat plastique 1/32" by my friend Lionel) If these figures look like Clairet ones, they are different and more precisely sculpted: (picture from here STS forum , by Thierry who had noticed the ressemblances) (picture from french forum "soldat plastique 1/32", by Hugue ) ( third on right is a bazar copy of the Clairet one, compare the back legs..) So a mysterious brand not yet identified, next to Clairet production but better according to me!.. If someone can help.. (I think particulary to french members of course!) :)

| The rhinoceros looks more like the JIM one. These kind of bazar knockoffs are common in Spain with a lot of Clairet, Starlux copies. Maybe it is an obscure Spanish brand ?

| here a red copy of the mysterious lion with the one from Clairet (top left) and the one which would be from Cyrnos according to my french friend Lionel (in the middle): We can see our mysterious lion looks more like the Cyrnos one: same walkink posture but 2 differences: its mouth is closed.. .. and it lightly turns its head on left side. So, since most of the french brands produced their figurines in factories in Montreuil town, it was easy to find inspiration looking each at the others and that's why I think this mysterious brand is a french one. My hope is to find the zoo production of Max Parisot brand (MP) which is still unidentified and could be this one because I noticed a big similarity between these sheep (just up) and some of a MP creche ones.

| Those kind of figurines are what we call a "bazaar toy" in France and I guess "dimestore toy" in USA.
They are made in a cheap material, unpainted to save money and sold in plastic bag. They had an attractive price for parents and bright colours to catch children eyes.
Some were "gifts" offered by brands of detergent, rusk, biscuit, gasoline and many others for children to influence parents on the choices of its products.
Of course, except for most of "commercial gifts", it is a pain to find what animal belong to which brand. In this case we don't know the brand yet and sometimes, molds are used by several companies, they were the "Nayab" of the XXth century. |

| Indeed, the material is inexpensive, as the manufacture, but their power of seduction is very real. When I began collecting I decided to avoid this kind of stuff because a collection need to have limits, but, as usual, I made some exceptions. Year after year, on the sly, I have accumulated a collection of exceptions. As I tidied up this year, I saw the size of the invasion and surrendered. Now I officially have a collection of monochromatic figurines. |

| I always thought the premium versions were Hong Kong manufactured. I know Hong Kong is related with UK, not necesarily France but I am surprised those were produced close to Paris. Portugal had a similar connection with Macau. As you know, not all monochromatic figures are premium figures and unbranded. Those Dinamização were never sold as premium figures, they have their own packaging with the brand and they are marked in a way that we can identify the manufacturing source. Those colorful ones are clearly bazar toys as Christophe pointed and they probably don't have a brand, just a misterious manufacturer and an obvious inspiration. I am glad that thanks to Alain I have a few ones too. |

| @Caracal: I will show my monochromatic collection but not until 2022. I am waiting for some stuff so be patient @Badbo Monochrome isn't a brand it only means monochromatic in French. You have very nice models on your pic. Some models were used by several companies so Starlux copies: Lion and lioness could be Gulliver (Brasil) Starlux copies: could be Persan (Spain) Anteater: Panini (small copy of Chialù) Lion: MPC Donkey and Llama: copies of Britains Ltd Mertens copies @Roger French used also Macau's Injecta Plastic production as premium, like Prior, Rena or Lesieur. We also have HK or Singapore animals in France but they were indeed Britains and timpo copies, poorly painted but not monochromatic. For most of French kids in the 60's and 70's the only "Britains" models were these cheap copies and that's probably why we often consider Britains Ltd production as a "cheap" production. Of course not all Monochromatic series were premiums, Marx and Dulcop, like Dinamizaçao, produced that kind of stuff. Even Hausser produced their 54mm series as painted or unpainted. French manufacturers produced indeed "bazar" toys, it is even possible that Clairet produced moncochromatic series of their animals in the last years. |
