A little miracle!

Yesterday in our family house, my little grandson Alban found a very old box full of little soldiers in which I had the surprise and great pleasure to find the missing chamois of this so mysterious range! I Bought it in 1967 in a little bag with the polar bear, the lion, the gorilla, the rhino and hippo (see below) They were the 6 first models of my collection of more than one thousand of figures now!
I never saw other cheap bazar monochromatic samples of this model nor original one!









He is not so far from my memory drawing on the previous page. I just forgot the plant between its fore and rear pawns. :)

What is noticeable is that this soft plastic did not suffer any damage through a si long time (58 years!)

You're right, some starlux souvenirs versions have the same standing (and I even feared that they could have changed my remenber) but they have been produced a long time after!

Yes the brand who produced these 6 models (plus the 4 farm ones) is still unidentified. We just know that they are from the fifties, they look like Clairet, Jim and Cyrnos production but with a better details sculpting.  So they probaby have been produced in Montreuil town. Thanks to our friend Insiste, we know they could be from Fryd, Socomanut, Bondrôle or Max Parisot brands with a good probability for this latter one! We progress!..

Grandchildren always have a knack for finding our childhood toys. There's also a saying that grandparents are good at finding grandchildren's lost socks scattered around the house, but that's just a stereotype. This was definitely a happy moment, and Alban played a decisive role in making it happen.

The bear from my first set was red like the chamois but since I did not yet miraculously found him back, I put the original one from this mysterious brand!

The more I look at them, the more I am convinced that they were not inspired by Clairet, Jim or Cyrnos brands but that at the contrary, they inspired them!
