- Ok here is my stab at answering your queries.
Your first question I think is about the great danes? The far left with erect ears was a customized Papo model done by Lea Magga, I painted it tuxedo. The far right is Bullyland.
Rottweiler on the far left is Bullyland again.
I have 2 customized Caucasian Shepherds done by Lea, the left is the Papo Newfoundland painted by me and sculpted to be the guarding type, while the left was a Bullyland St. Bernard sculpted and painted by Lea and is representative of the working type.
Those are both Munsterlanders, at least according to TAW. Bigger one is Funrise and smaller is Schleich. (My domestics are currently grouped by breed)
The Safari yellow Lab I just barely found last year after years of looking (his brother was lonely...). The ebay seller had him listed as a Golden Retriever. Those three Labs are Tree House Kids indeed, there is a lighter yellow one I will get sometime, but the brown was hardest to find!
Huskies, to the left is the 4D Famemaster puzzle dog from my childhood and right is the Safari model.
GSDs, left behind latest Schleich is ERTL if I remember right and on the right is the old Safari (need the puppy)
Sharp eyes! That is another Lea custom mould and paint, the old Schleich Husky into an Akita.
Beagle on the right was a china model I repainted into a lemon Beagle.
I'm not certain the giant Shiba has a breed, maybe Taylor has more info as I got it from him.
Bassets, left is a New Ray custom painted by myself and right is the rare K&M tube model.
The giant Chihuahua? Comes from the same set as the Shiba, so I'm not sure on brand.
The white dog is sort barbie-accessory-ish, not sure as I got him from a thift store...
Let me know if you have any more questions! So glad to hear you're feeling better, and thank you so much for spending so much time answering all my questions, that is perfect and so interesting! Your Lea customs are beautiful, it's amazing how much you have both managed to change the models into different breeds with different poses! And interesting about all the colours of the Tree House Kids labs, I'll make a note of this! And a beautiful Beagle repaint too by you! I'm so happy I could put a permanent smile on your face too, because all your dogs certainly put one on mine! |

| Thank you again everyone! My personal favorite animals and interests lie in canines, and it all began with dogs. I have more wolves than dogs I think, but I love all the canids in my collection and wish more rare breeds and species got attention in this hobby. A little belated as I am recovering from a cold and postimage decided to have a stroke this morning... Next is equus, mostly the domestic form. This is probably the "worst" display in general because most horses are about the same size in toy form so you can't see models in the back too well, and I have so many I can't display them fanned out like my wildlife models for space. It is also the most static part of my collection these days as most horses don't quite strike my fancy to buy them or they are too expensive (I need the new unique CollectA models like the koniks and mongolian horses though...). Anywho, here we are. Over view: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Top down: The Schleich eventing sets are a pride of this category as it took me forever to track down the cross country jumping set. I lucked out and bought the others at the stores as they were available, but this one I got a few years ago with help from an STS friend. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Drafts are often my favorite type of horse. | I am amazed! Another entire bookcase, and this time filled with horses! Soooo many beautiful models, from top to bottom, I love the Shetlands especially, and the tiny and adorable Falabella Foal must be one of my favourites of all Schleich horses! And I definitely agree about canines, it would be so nice to have more rare breeds! Papo seem to be leading the way with this so far, but I'm hoping that maybe CollectA will branch out once they have updated a few more of their dogs! And more wolves than all your many, many dogs! Must be an amazing collection, I never knew there were so many! |

| Collecting horses is as much as dangerous as collecting dinosaurs. They require a lot of space and a very dedicated investment. You managed a way to keep your horses being displayed even if your generous shelves are not enough for them. Hahah, I would spend some weeks to see them all if I was at your home. |

| Thank you everyone! If only we really could go visit each other's collections in person and talk for hours on end... I guess the next best thing is to have a place online where we can all meet as friends... From here on it is mostly wild mammals, birds, and reptiles. This is what many I think have been waiting for. Lets get down to it! Overview of my big bookcase with the majority of my birds, reptiles, and amphibians. I do have more birds and amphibians on wall hanging shelves I will share in a few days. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And my other half bookcase display with my lizard reptiles: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]_________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Just wonderful Paige, I see so many amazing figures, some I own and some down on my wishlist and others that I wouldn't get but are equally as good! I can see that the Bullyland basilisk isn't too big, phew.
It seems you are lacking in frogs, Paige, may I ask if there is any particular reason? _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. | Thank you Bonnie, Adam, and Andreas! Adam I have lots of frogs, but they live on a wall hanging shelf display. Since those displays of mine are rather random (used to make more room for larger figures on the bookcases) and I have several of them I am presenting them as their own category next upload (more birds wild and domestic, small mammals, frogs and toads, freshwater fish, some inescts, people etc.). The frogs on the shelf here are too big for my wall display with their smaller friends so they hang out with the salamanders and newts for company. Also to clarify from an earlier comment I made, I have more dogs than wolves. I was confused before and I blame my cough syrup for it... I have 120ish wolves (gray, red, arctic, counting other canids) and some 400ish dogs I think. Sorry for the confusion. Some day I will have 400+ wolves... _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Thanks again everyone! Taylor, is your new avatar of a pair dingos or singing dogs? (I suspect the former) Its a great new avatar. :) My closest exotic zoo has a pair of singing dogs, they are fun to watch. Christophe, if you mean the alligator then its a "mutant" action figure from the movie Rampage. If you mean on the croc shelf it is the 2nd generation Schleich. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Mamma Mia !!! I have missed SO many So today I sdtarted with your dogs, which is just a magnificent collection And reading Bonnie's reaction was just hilarious, - in the most positive way, of course You show us so man, I just can't comment on them all, but they are such a joy to watch A question : I see yu have two albino crocodiles, - is one of them the one from the old Schleich special play set ? If it is, we desperately need a picture for TAW |
