| I recently received these two figures from a forum member. The only information I have is that they are composition handcrafted figures (which weigh little, so it leads me to think that they are rather made with some kind of resin instead of a mass like the old ones) and that they are signed on the base as "DH". Does anyone know anything about their provenance? Were they made by a member of the STS forum? Are there more models? Thank you! R [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I bought these animals on eBay a good fifteen years ago, long before STS was born. They come from Germany. I still have three snakes, a Komodo dragon, a platypus, a Koala and a Scarlet Ibis. I haven't seen any since then and this seller has never been an active member of STS. |

| As I said, I bought these homemade models in the early 2000’s. I think they were produced then despite their vintage look |

what a beautiful koala and chameleon these are! The artist is very talented and to have that 'olde time' style is a gift I love these! Is the artist from Europe Christophe? |

Thanks Christophe. They are made in an old style, I wonder if it's a composite paper/clay mix? And the base of the figure in the first photo seems to be in 2 parts, which are not line up. That's interesting! |

| I don't think it is paper made, it is too heavy. |
