Funrise cats 1990; please help me.

Where does the company Funrise come from anyway? Is it North American or European? In other words, how lucky was I to find those cats for my brother and that mammoth for myself in the flea markets near my home (Canada)?

Two more! It might be hard to believe these are the models advertised on the back card earlier, since they have such complex and lovely paint jobs and in life . . . not so much. (Plus the Abyssinian tail seems to have changed direction.) But I also found an in-package example that confirms they are the same, just a very parsed down version of the original vision. They are still charming of course, and the Abyssinian in particular had quite an EXPRESSION.    

I wish the cats had their breed stamped on the belly like the horses do, it makes things so much easier! (I tried to purchase the in-package version, but that fell through.)

And here are their official labels. I especially wish the manx had a coat anywhere near as cool as the back card art! If I had extras, I would try to replicate that because the original design was really neat. The abyssinian in this package actually has much better patterning than mine, and mine has better than others I have seen floating around, so there seems to be a pretty wide range of detail in how the coats were produced.

9 of the 12 are now on TAW. Next update and I will turn it into a gallery too.
It is natural that you find relevant color variations and mirrored pictures are also not unusual. Maybe trying to find the last figures you'll get a few spare figures to repaint.

I didn't think of the abyssinian being mirrored in the art but it probably is. That tail was giving me grief, haha.

So, the box set that I didn't think I'd be able to get came through in the end, so I have now finished the set! That's the fastest I've done that outside of purchasing a complete set of something out of the gate. I also got a nicer condition and better painted version of the Abyssinian and the Tortoiseshell Manx to boot.

It's interesting to me that they made so many persians, and how much like a little terrier the Chinchilla Persian looks. It was hard to get flattering pictures of these with my set up, ugh.

The card is surely useful and I added it on TAW.

Unfortunately I do not! Only the dogs, cats, and horses here (and a goat ).

Does that Funrise goat come with a set?

It's this set actually (I have the sheep too, I forgot). But the goat is not TAW worthy, I painted it as a child.

Valérie, it is not TAW worthy but surely it is Jill worthy. Is there anything nicer than a custom childhood figure?
I am sure someday we will find a picture of a pristine model to put on TAW.

It's true that he is a very old friend that is beyond restoration to TAW form. I would like to get a new one someday, though, so if I do I will be certain to share it!
