Papo 2022 List - Updated with Winter releases

Great to see the pictures and some really nice models especially the birds
Like the Spanish bulls but the horses are a bit of a disappointment compared to Papo horses in the past.The red wolves look like a nice colour variant.

I am not the most indicated person to comment about colors but I think Papo tried to represent the tawny color of the Eurasian wolf the largest and commonest in Europe.

That is what I would say it is, a tawny red/blonde coated wolf and not the actual species red wolf...

I guess it would be the red/tawny variation of the Eurasian grey wolf, like in the below image, I would imagine. :)

I like the new wolf colors. If the species doesn't exist, then i use them as a future species. ^^

possible IDs for the crustaceans:

1. shrimp: this might just be the common commercial species Panaeus monodon (same species made by AAA)
2. hermit crabs: this is more challenging, but Clibanarius erythropus and Dardanus arrosor are two Mediterranean species that might work for this figure

I've been trying to find a positive ID match for the hummingbird, but it's difficult. My best guesses at the moment are the Blue-Headed Hummingbird (Riccordia bicolor) or the Turquoise-Crowned Hummingbird (Cynanthus doubledayi). If anyone has a better guess, go for it.

The new birds are wonderful but I'm sad for the lack of new dogs or cats

Nice new animals by Papo!! Wouldn't get the horses but the bulls are nice. And the wolf maybe but the Charolais, aren't they older/discontinued models??

Yes, these are not new, just released again.

I also found out that the wild piglet is the same model as the 2010, just pulled out of the base. So, this is not new either.

That's why it looked so familiar! I could have sworn I'd seen it somewhere else, makes sense. I don't have the two piglets on the base and I don't like bases anyways so I'll happily acquire this figure

Well, it is a bit like the repainted models, not excatly the same than the previous model.

What do you mean Christophe?  I also believe that the dolphin is a repainted version of the 56003 (bottlenose?) Dolphin from 2008.

I don't think Papo horse sculpts are ever very handsome, regardless of breed - they always look very bulky, oddly put together, and proportioned all wrong. This is why I collect their donkeys but not their horses

Indeed but it is not exactly the same thing, only one piglet now without a base

This is what I wrote, they just took a piglet out of its base and didn't even bother to make a new photo out of it. Very lazy.
