| I remember when I was a very small child having a big horse with rollers in the feet like that... I remember it as being a flocked/real hair mane and tail dapple grey in English riding tack. Grampa bought it at a toy shop in Coral Gables (a very rich ritzy area) and it was supposedly imported from England, if I remember right. I always thought the Skin Horse in The Velveteen Rabbit was my horse. I don't know what happened to it, probably it fell victim to one of Nana's discarding purges. |
