Hey guys, ,I was just wondering if anyone knows what pirate figures are going to be available for 2023? I already have a few of the mutant pirates, and now all I'm looking for is the walrus mutant pirate. Besides that guy, I'm interested in other papo pirates. So, if you all could help mo out, that would be great.

so, 'common lizard' probably is viviparous lizard?

what is a 'common spider'?!? If it's a repaint of their wolf spider, and doesn't represent a lycosid, it is bound to be inaccurate, which is ironic given the Papo wolf spider is probably the best sculpted spider figure ever!

I think it is supposed to be Podarcis muralis - the common wall lizard. That's the reason why I called it skink because it translates to wall skink in my language. Though, I am not sure.

In English, 'common lizard' more commonly applies to Zootoca vivipara, and the thumbnail photo can go either way. I hope it's P. muralis, as I already have a nice figure of Z. vivpara. I fear the detail on the actual figure probably won't help, but I guess we'll know more eventually

You might be right, the name common lizard, in English is constantly used for the viviparous lizard. The French name Papo is using is lézard commun which can be found for both species on French literature.  Though, lézard des murailles is the name they use most commonly for a common wall lizard.
I'd love it to be a common wall lizard and if it is, it goes directly to my wish list although I think the sculpt is not that good.I don't have a good catalogue picture.

I dunno Roger; the dark line on the side looks to have jagged edges, which might be more in line with P. muralis (I also want this to be P. muralis...)

About the spider, here is the common spider, I hope colors correspond to some wolf spider species.

the shape of the abdomen and eyes do NOT look like the original wolf. This might be an original sculpt and correspond to Parasteatoda tepidariorum!!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to remark on what a great time it is to be a collector... that we now get to enjoy an era of speciation for insects and their relatives as well as new mammals and birds. I think Papo certainly has upped their game the last few years with birds, crustaceans, bugs...
