there are 2 mammoth models with different tuskes:

the left one has been repainted. I think that this model released in 1975, has been the model of the later Starlux second version (1985), here on the right side:

Great Collection Alain, the Invicta are really impressive and their realism was on top in the 70's.
The one I would love to catch is teh Dimetrodon but it's real pain to find one for a decent price.

Yes 40 euros on french ebay at this moment, and it is the smaller one! affraid

I discovered them in the Lyon Museum only in 1987 for they were only sold in the museums by these times in France and I had just bought the mammoth who fits so well with the Starlux 2nd version one! Later: in 1995 , I bought some for my sons in another museum but I repainted them because the painted versions were fare more expensive!.. :)

I like their simplified shapes and colours. With prehistoric animals, we often don't know the details about how they looked and what their colours were, so to see them in a more abstract form is rather nice. Were they made to scale?

Yes they were: 1/45 scale for terrestrial species. :)

Great collection of a great vintage brand.I have some of these models unpainted and painted.I had the Blue whale when I was younger but sadly lost it and trying to get one now is quite expensive!!
