| Papo's Alpine Marmot is currently the only model of this species still distributed. Schleich and Bullyland having stopped producing theirs in 2004 and 2014. The Papo is already 12 years old. Of course it has no competitor but is it worth it? Here are some pictures of the one I bought 12 years ago when it was released, so I don't guarantee that the models sold now have the same quality of paint. | Wonderful marmot! I'm sure I have one in one of my boxes. I always liked it! I regret not taking it to the Alps with me this spring. He could pose for a beautiful outdoor photo. I even saw a living one for a brief moment What do you think about the scale of this model? _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| The scale is between 1/7.2 and 1/12.

| It really is worth, I have the Schleich and Bullyland too and this one is my favorite. So nice to see this little model with your close ups, nine is also an early release so I also don't know how the painting look now. |

Where were you in the Alps ? Oh I just saw your question, oops! We stayed in Chamberanger, Le Planay in French Alps. But at the end of April many of the hiking routes were still closed or too snowy to pass. It was lovely nevertheless. And we saw herds of ibexes, one marmot and one bearded vulture |
