The first time I saw a figure of this breed was the 2006 Schleich cow. I distinctly remember finding it very interesting because it deviated from what, to me, was the traditional concept of a cow. Not that the breed is uncommon in Portugal, but it's also not the typical toy cow. I found the figure very intriguing, although I don't collect bovine figures. It's these kinds of figures that appeal to children and even adults like me, sparking interest in something outside the more traditional norms.

really lovely herd. Theres a small cattle ranch down the road from me with 4 of these. One of them just birthed the most darling pure white calf! An early Christmas gift I can enjoy on my drive to and from work. :)

I have a soft spot for all the beef cattle breeds and Charolais calves are beautiful when they are born! Smile
