| Here are a few pics I took today. I was too lazy to delete the photos from my memory card and transfer them to my hard drive. So I used my cell phone instead. The Ganges river basin in India and its residents, blackbuck, nilgai, gaur and Indian rhino. | Thank you all,
I took most of the pictures in the park behind my residence. The pilot whale was in my swimming pool.
I took the pictures very early in the morning, in order not to be bothered by bystanders. So it's the sunrise you see in the photo with the water buffalo, not the sunset.

| Hi guys, I just came back today from a 2-month journey across Central Asian landscapes. I took a few animal models with me. Here are my pictures: Bactrian camel (CollectA) among the yurts in the wind-battered steppe [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A lonely Tajik markhor (CollectA) stands guard in the unchained elements: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A snow leopard (Papo) stalking a prey on the top of a snowy crest in the Tian Shan mountains. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here on the shores of a high altitude lake. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The same markhor grazing thorny shrubs on the slopes of a canyon: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Same scene, but with a jharal ((CollectA) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]In fact, the jharal is an intruder that shouldn't belong there, since it's not native to Central Asia, but to the Himalayas. On the other hand, I wish I hadn't left home my Przewalski's horse and my saiga antelope (both CollectA), which both have their home in the Central Asian steppes since Pleistocene. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I could also have taken the dromedary (Safari Ltd), a common dweller of the Kara Kum desert in Turkmenistan, or the wild boar (Safari) which inhabits the Central Asian mountain forests.

| Thank you all for your enthusiastic feedback. If I have the opportunity to work in northern Norway this winter, I will take with me all my tundra fauna. ] - sunny wrote:
and did you see any chiru? No, the chiru is another intruder from the Himalayas and is absent from the Altay, Tian Shan, Alay and Pamir mountains. |
