| ToyMany has just made a remarkable entry into the world of animal toy collectors. In just two seasons, the company has produced no fewer than 31 animal sets, and that's just the beginning. Lately I've been mainly interested in new talents like PNSO and Haolonggood, who offer very high quality models that are more expensive than the traditional brands. I was also very interested in the ‘Diversity of life’ series offered by Bandai, which also revealed new horizons for our passion. Finally, the affordable resin products from manufacturers such as Divartsity and Dinosauria Creatures also opened up new avenues. I didn't see ToyMany coming, my mind was elsewhere… At first I thought that a new Nayab had appeared and that we were going to suffer the onslaught of very numerous but average quality miniatures. But then Toymany came out with their Australian set with three kangaroos and three koalas in a tree, so I was tempted, the price was very reasonable and the reclining kangaroo was a novelty. I would have bought it on its own, but at the time only the sets were available. I don't regret my purchase, and in the end, all six of them appealed to me. Then rogervpg asked me to share the ‘Polar animals’ set: he would do the 1/32 animals, I would do the others. Again, I was particularly interested in the incredible polar bear, I had to have it. Then Kenc came and Toymany offered their animals individually. So I placed an order, just for a first taste. The little loulous have just arrived and it's an excellent surprise! There's a lot of good stuff and Toymany has just made his official entry into my jungle. Of course, the sets were already presented with talent on STS and elsewhere, and there is no shortage of good reviews. But when it itches, you have to scratch, so if you don't mind, I'm opening this topic to present, from time to time, models that are a little close to my heart. The model I'm presenting to you this evening is a Tiger... I already have far too many tigers in my collection so there's no need to add one more, except of course an unknown antique in composition. But now, a set of tigers has just been released and one of them has a rather rare and irresistible pose. He'll be perfect for the inauguration. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I think he looks amazing, the pose is very natural, you can feel both the feline and the power. The details and finish have not been neglected either above or below. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Look at that wild face, that look, he's spotted you! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here he is with his distant cousin, the 2005 Papo, which is still the reference for me. I don't think the Toymany is doing so badly. The painting is a little less subtle but you have to make some concessions to offer a model at 6,50€ when the Papo is sold around 10€. The Papo scale could be between 1/15 and 1/18. The ToyMany is between 1/18 and 1/22. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here he is in my Southeast Asian jungle at 1/20. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And with the other big cats on the same floor. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]More to come, soon or later

| I can't wait to order this set- I have the jaguars, white lions, nd this tiger set to order soon. Lovely presentation- Goymany is deserving of all their fanfare. I remember when they first popped up and their items were tempting and I gambled on them off Amazon. I am SO glad the brand has gotten the support and the recognition they deserve! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Even though I only have the penguin and bunny sets, and I love them very much, I'm terribly curious about many other models. I'm mostly interested in individual models, not necessarily the sets, and I'll surely follow this topic, which has perfect timing, as a support for some of my future choices regarding this brand that has brought a fresh air to this hobby and also allowed people with fewer resources to continue acquiring quality figures. I also have more tigers than I need but a good tiger figure in a less usual pose is usually tempting. |

| I'm unhappy with the quality of the paint job. The stripes on the figurine are messy and unappealing. I would like to suggest that the figurine be repainted to a higher standard, so that it looks more realistic and pleasing to the eye. |

I will have to add a lioness and a jaguar to my clan and I hope we will see a small wild cats set onde day. I agree this new brand deserves recognition. - Roger wrote:

I hope to be able to update this topic regularly with models that might be of interest to you. I'm delighted by Toymany's arrival for the reasons you mention. Recently, production of the traditional brands has slowed down, Bullyland is at or near a standstill, Mojo and Safari Ltd offer fewer models than in the past. Even CollectA has been slowing down, with only Papo keeping up the pace, but his models are arriving later and later. Chinese brands such as PNSO and Haolonggood offer more expensive models that are more geared towards collecting than toys. Toymany is a promise that good quality toys will once again be available at affordable prices, and I'm delighted! - widukind wrote:

It is sure that the painting of this toy suffers from the comparison with the 2005 Papo but honestly it is true of all the current tigers, including the Papo. Only the CollectA 88789 and the Schleich 14729 are nearly close to the level. However, their posture is much more basic than what Toymany proposes. |

| Great model! I agree that the pose is very appealing. I like the way it is painted too. Less realistic than the Papo, but I like the crisp style of the stripes.
For my own self-interest, I am hoping that Toymany will make more high quality small models. |

| All these Toymany felines in unique poses are so tempting!!! I love the crouching tiger, jaguar with its leg hanging down, and laying down lionesses. Over half my felines are in storage because they all don't fit on displays, I really don't need more.. My weakness is Papo and snow leopards Congrats on this beauty! _________________ Jolie

| Thank you so much Alain, Roger and Jolie for your comments Roger, I hope they will make more mini sets for the 1/32 addicts The jaguar with its leg hanging down, and laying down lionesses aren't on my shelves yet but it is only a matter of time. |

| My second guest may disappoint Rogério, as he already has it in his collection. When ToyMany announced his rabbit set I was hopeful that there would be some wild species. Wild lagomorphs are fairly under-represented in the toy world, unlike their domestic brethren. This is understandable, as wild hares all look a bit alike, especially at miniature size. Anyway, there was one, the American Antelope jackrabbit! He single-handedly wiped out all my grief, whether in terms of morphology, posture, detail or colour, ToyMany did an excellent job. The icing on the cake is that this is the first time this species has been represented in a toy figurine. What happiness! | Congrats! The rabbit set is one of my favorites and the antelope jackrabbit is certainly a highlight. I enjoy looking at mine in my Sonoran Desert display. I also find it pairs nicely with Safari's American desert hare. _________________ Jolie

| Maybe the Safari's American desert hare is at 1/7 too, it could be a new recrue then. |

| This one was a very good surprise, especially in a set of domestic animals. I can't help with the scale but here is a comparison of the antelope jackrabbit with the Safari desert hare. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

that is a very nice tiger pose! Well done on getting him, he enhances your Indian collection Christophe. I like the details underneath as well. Toymany have made a couple of interestingly shaped animals that I've seen. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I have to admit that I wasn't as enthusiastic about the Safari Ltd when it first came out as I am about the ToyMany. Your photo might make me reconsider my point of view. It could make a good companion for my ToyMany. Talking of size and scale, this is a good opportunity to see how inconsistent Wikipedia sometimes is. I quote: "Reaching a length about 2 ft (61 cm), and a weight from 3 to 6 lb (1.4 to 2.7 kg), the black-tailed jackrabbit is the third-largest North American jackrabbit, after the antelope jackrabbit and the white-tailed jackrabbit." "The antelope jackrabbit... is similar to species like the black-tailed jackrabbit and white-sided jackrabbit. Its body length ranges from 52 to 58 cm (20 to 23 in) long" Isn't it Bunny? I mean funny - sunny wrote:
