Wow they've made some great animals - I love the camel and moose [/quote]
...Yeah but they are some small scale and has "visual lines" (as puzzle). From mammals I have only orca whale, walrus (the lines are almost "invisible") and on this reason I love reptilies, birds, insects... :)

Even with the lines I'd like to get the moose

Ah, I don't want to make the roll of the bad boy, but seeing pictures of the Colorata I only can think in a fish! Body looks really short, full of straight lines, wrong shape of the belly and head, not very natural pose with the tail completly far from the floor and the body should be slightly waving, it looks Colorata tried to make a walking figure! Texture looks really nice but honestly the Papo looks better shaped! Ah, of course I would be wrong since I don't have the figure!

I will make some pics soon to explain why I prefer the COLORATA Rogério. I will show it with the SCHLEICH and PAPO. The only one I prfer is the SAFARI ltd IC one but I don't have it... Poor Kiki

So I will show here comparison pics of four Komodo dragon models, the SCHLEICH (2000-2005), the COLORATA (2004), the PAPO (2009) and the new BULLYLAND I borrowed to my daughter's toy box
Unfortunately I haven't got the IC SAFARI ltd and the retired BULLYLAND ones.... Poor Kiki

Wonderful pictures, Christiphe It is great to see them together.
After you mentioned, I just can`t get over the weird tail of the Schleich one, - what were they thinking about
I think I like the Papo one best, - if only it wasn`t green

Thank you Susanne
I prefer the COLORATA because IMHO it is the most realistic

Papo Komodo gets' the Monitor Lizard "Best in Show" award! Yes, maybe a bit too green, but the sculptor really captured the body in motion, the facial expression and skin texture's awesome!

Agreed!!
Disagree with you. The sculptor didn't capture the body in motion. It is a bit too bended and the tail is also too much bended.
A few real Komodo dragon in motion : These animals bend their body but not as much as the PAPO and I say nothing of the odd tail.
