| These are my Safari horses. I like the Safari moulds more than the Schleich ones, though the way they are painted usually makes me cry. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Clydesdale gelding is customized by Ka Tya [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Andalusian stallion is customized by a Russian artist Elizaveta Shiryaeva [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The mane/tail of a large Selle Francaise mare are a bit customized (by myself) - they used to be of the same colour as the body, but I decided to add some contrast. | Nice collection :) I like Safari horses more than Schleich ones too. I have almost all of them on my wishlist Is it just me, or Shire is a bit too small comparing to Percheron? Is it also smaller than Clydesdales? _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

| Nice collection! It´s true that some Safari horses are really great, but others are not good from my point of view. Anyway they are difficult for me to find, so I will keepe collecting Schleich and buying only those Safari I really like (if I found them!) _________________ Visit my collection gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Visit my art gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I accept commissions! |

| Mangalarga Yes, he's smaller than an average draft horse((
baltimore zoo It's the morgan mare. She's really awesome.
SyLoBe Well, I have new Safari moulds. the only old mould I have is the black Arabian mare. She's rather plain. I also prefer the new ones. |

| Beautiful horses, Daria! I'm glad you've found a way to show them! In these last years the quality of horses is improving in Safari and CollectA and, even Schleich are also very nice they are loosing something, maybe the bored poses compared with previous figures! Anyway it is a series that is being taking seriously for the brands! :) |

Quite agree with you. Especially about the Schleich ones. However, there are still some interesting equine figurines by Schleich. As for Collecta- well, onle those that are sculpted by Deborah McDermott. The other new horses (like the clydesdale mares, ponies, etc.) are still plain and boring. |

| Today my other dream came true!:) I got two 2011 mares- Abaco barb and Appaloosa. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The first one, Abaco barb mare, sees to be my favourite among all the safari equines now. She's so sweet! And her color... Well, I have some doubts about her pinto pattern. Her eyes and hoofs color, and her nose and skin around her eyes- I have a strong feeling that she's genetically dominant white. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Appaloosa mare is also very cute. The only thing I dislike about her- her legs. They seem to be too thick. | They are beautyful ! I must see if I can find that Barb mare She is gorgeous My knowledge about the colours that are not found in Iceys , is very limited. Why would she be dominant white To me she looks like a tobiano with a lot of white, - perhaps homozygote tobiano ? |

| Tobianos, even homozygous, can't have white face unless combined with another pinto pattern. I'd go for splash white with her. But then, splash would most likely have blue eyes if surrounded by white... Looking at the case of Sato, she could be a DW _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

That is because they don`t exist About white face, yes, there might be some splashed - I had this gelding, Faxi : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Faxi`s dad was a black stallion. I knew the stallion for many years, he had absolutely NO "funny" genes. But Faxi`s mom. Mikla, had a completely white face and one dark, one blue eye, so it does exist . Of course I don`t have a picture, and old Mikla died several years ago |

| Well, dominant white causes a pattern similar to sabino, with undefined edges... This mare has very well defined edges in her pinto markings... _________________ Visit my collection gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Visit my art gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I accept commissions! |

| After all, the colour of majority of factory painted horses is doubtful in terms of realism. That's why I love the idea of customising _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

| SyLoBe Well, I've heard about the pattern's edges, but I still have some doubts because of the eyes color (and the pink skin around dark eyes). Looked through some pics of pinto horses with white heads, and haven't noticed such thing.(( |
