The Timpo animals in my zoo

I have this old antelope (made in england), but i dont know the brand.

Very nice Andreas, i still miss the Grants gazelle, made by Timpo Toys Scotland...
Timpo Toys models are only marked with Made in England, without any further brand printed on them.
Mostly one coloured plastic, sometimes with minor painting on them...

The figure is nice! :)

I think this is al the wildlife, not a very huge range.
Often copied by Hong Kong and mainly Singapore manufacturers to.

I do have a lot of the farmlife to, here is the most of the range, but they have many variations, mainly the cows and horses...

Yes you have my friend, now i need one... If it is a Grants gazelle or an impala, let that be in the middle...
The older manufacturers, and some new China ones to, use their fantasy a lot...
Mostly it is a slender type of ungulate with horns, which species is up to your imagination...

the wildlife is very nice! i especially like the gazelle!

Yes, the Timpo's are not bad, not exactly the same quality as Britains, and not painted much in most cases, but very ok indeed!

I think you are right. But they have not so much interesting species.

Again another super figure, I always like antelope figures best and yet they are so hard to find in the older brands.

Thank you again Phil. Yes i like also antelopes. Yes i have look too a Timpo antelope again and i find nothing. But i dont know, where and when i bought this antelope.

Now and then, these Timpo figurines pop up on ebay Germany, and there are many Timpo collectors there.
Timpo Toys was very available in Germany in the 1970's when i lived there, and i had quit a few of them in that time, only a handfull of them survived in this time, so i had to buy lots of them again...

Maybe you will Andreas, Timpo's are more available in Germany then in my country for example...

More available in west germany, not so available in the GDR.

Ok, but we have other times right now, and e-bay is there to, and i found many Timpo's on there...

ebay- thats right and other times too. But you can sale on a flew market, what you cant buy any years ago. Here you find always VEB Plaho.
