| I think I also want the oryx, it looks a toyish representation of Harriet's but brands have other limitations! :) Looks better than the retired Schleich! I can't see the dark patches in the mouflon, as happens with the Bullyland but it is not a bighorn, I'm sure as I am with the Bully! I can't fit the reindeer with any of the subspecies! It looks cervides is a hard task for these brands! No new fox as I was expecting! No spots in the doe, that's a good point. We should recognise when a brand corrects a mistake! |

| After seeing the pics, I think the caribou, mouflon, oryx are very nice figures (I like the young croc, just wonder how big? Young lion white re-paint's blah!), however, as most know..., just not into "hoof stock" (antelopes, sheep, deer although love zebras and giraffes!), nothing against them, but they just don't "turn me on" like a big cat, pachyderms(elephants, rhino, hippos), great apes/monkeys, bears, and crocodilians/Komodo dragons. Just the way it is for me. I'll never understand the "love affair" of antelopes, sheep, & deer. I know and respect that it's to each his/her own. So far from what I've seen, pretty disappointed with Papo 2012!

| Thanks for posting the link! Extremely disappointed! That's all I can say(I thought there would be more than what I saw on the other thread). White repaints of the crocs and the lion, how uninventive! As said before the oryx, mouflon, and caribou aren't bad, but not my favorite animals! |

| It's not a quagga, it's a zebroid, or zorse, a hybrid of zebra and domestic horse. (I understand a tiny bit of Russian ) As a horse collector I find it interesting but I won't buy it, too cartoonish for me _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

| Instead of a female wild boar, why couldn't they have made some other wild pig, such as a red river hog, babirusa or a warthog? I'm really dumbfounded by their lack of creativity! |

| Thanks, Magda. I think I'll buy it anyway and I'll call it a quagga. But what a pity they did not make a real one! - Mangalarga wrote:

| I hope that isn't really a seam line where the antlers of the Reindeer come together with the head |

| Thank you for the link. :) I like the Crox and the Dinos only. And a very few wildlife this year for Papo. It's not an impressive year for the Papo after all. It's confirmed, the year 2012 is belongs to the CollectA and the Mojo Fun. |

| Just think, I waited a whole year for these... : ( Not that they aren't nice, it's just the selection of species! |

Not that they aren't nice, it's just the selection of species! I do agree with this and they not only focus on animals & many others area to cover too! Unlike Collecta & Mojofun is completely on animal. |

| I am realizing that. I do like the Mojo white rhino and I'll have to see the CollectA striped hyena and red river hog final product, however, I just prefer the Papo artistic style. I am really really really disappointed with this years Papo selection. Making alternate versions of the white lion and crocs is sooo lame! I am also realizing that I'm on a totally different end of the spectrum with species selection than they are. I am also realizing I probably will never get the Papo animals I want! Not trying to sound selfish, but as stated before, their(Papo) strengths are big cats, reptiles and apes(So I would love to see an Orang on all fours(Similar to Safari's WW, just smaller), silverback gorilla, bonobos, lying lion, lioness, tiger, & jag, Indian rhino, descent size elephants, striped hyenas, warthog, Baird's tapir, Grevy's zebra and a gharial!). If they made these, you wouldn't have to hear me complain! What I really wonder is who consults for these companies?

| Maybe the Caribou is too skinny, the antlers look a bit fossil like and the paint work hasn't had much thought put into it. I much prefer the Bullyland and Lineol one I agree with Christophe, at least we can focus on collecting all the wonderful figurines released from Mojo and CollectA _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*
