Mangalarga's (mostly) EQUINE collection

Horses' barrels are actually quite pear shaped, though the Collectas are a bit too extreme to be right.
I love all these, however I'm less than happy with the Lippi's pose. The knee joint (ie the stifle) isn't flexed enough, so essentially the tail's holding him up instead of the hind legs. That doesn't mean I won't get him though!

Lipizzaner stallion look better than the Collecta official photo. Congrats!!

Now I understand why someone told that comparing Schleich and CollectA horses is like comparing apples and pears!

I will say again that I find these Bully figures much more interesting than Schleich Satchmo. As you are saying, it is only a repainting and something more while here we see 2 completly new figures in the market. Probably in a short time the Schleich will obtain a higher value but most of us collect to enjoy the beautiful figures that are made and not only thinking in how much it will worth in future. It makes some suspense for next year, to know which figure will be released and how exciting may be to collect that series. I hope Bullyland continues with these beautiful horses even I dont collect them. Congratulations for them and also for the funny tinker?

Congratulations for these great horses! Your picture got really what makes me like CollectA horses although I don't collect them. They are truly scenic and formidable, we almost forget some inaccuracies or the plastic they are made. I like them.

These two are special run models, commissioned by MPV, sculpted by Brigitte Eberl (famous equine sculptor, at least among model horse collectors), and produced by Bullyland. Since Eberl didn't sculpt more models for Bullyland, that's why they stand out among Bully's regular models :)
Safari models are great too, but they don't have that "something" that I like in model horses, so I'm considering selling the small ones. The big Friesian will be customized one day - I want to fix his anatomical flaws and change his position to more interesting one
