| Never liked Collecta horses very much (some of them have quite strange proportions), but the new molds by Deborah McDermott made me change my mind. So now I have a small herd of them, that's still growing:) Here are some of their pics. A Friesian stallion Deathweaver. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A grey Arabian mare Airgead (in Gaelic means 'silver') [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A Thoroughbred mare Chailin Donn (in Gaelic- 'brown girl') [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A Tennessee Walker stallion Fionnbharr (in Gaelic- 'fairhair') [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A Hanoverian stallion Flann ('Red' in Gaelic) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Two Appaloosas (no names yet). Funny enough, but the black one is the horse I like most among all the Collecta herd. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This gorgeous Andalusian stallion entered my collection with the help of Harriet. Thank you very much! His name's Dairmaid ('Free' in Gaelic) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And two old Collecta horses: A Thoroughbred mare Nettle with her foals [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]and a Shetland pony Oscar (taken for repaint) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Those are all wonderful! The older standing TB mare with her foals are high on my wantlist. I *almost* ordered them today, but got the Papo English TB instead. I will definitely have to get those next time!

| WOw! Beautiful additions Daria and I'm glad the Andalusian Dairmaid (lovely name! They all have) made it to your collection I think my favourite is the new Thoroughbred. I still need the Lusitano and Tennesse. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Another fan of the new horses by Collecta They are really great, I can't wait to get my own. And I never though than Gaelic language may be such a great source for names I need to remember that. _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

-Kristie I think you'd like her- she has a strong individuality. I even am not sure that the new TB mare mold is better than hers)) SUSANNEQuite agree with you. However, there are some difficulties with getting their figurines in Scandinavia (esp Finland and Sweden, as I can see), Russia and some other countries. It's a pitty. HKHollinstoneHe's so great. I like him very much. However, he needs his Grainne now:) So I'm looking for an Andalusian mare for him:) Wish you'd get the missing equines soon. ken yeoYou know, he might be looking rather plain on promo photos, but in real life he's really cool:) Thinking on getting a pinto version of him:) MartinH, RogerThank you) The only thing I do not really like about them is that many of them have very similar heads, no matter a Tennessee Walker it is, an Andalusian or a TB. Never noticed it in McDermott resins, but her Collecta molds have this point. MangalargaHope you'll get them soon) And yes, Gaelic is a very beautiful language, I like the way it sounds, though understand very little of it (esp because of my interest in Celtic mythology in general and Unseelie Court and Lesser Fae, and brook horses- in particular). |

I've heard she might be sculpting some more molds for them) I've found an interview with her, about horses for Collecta: *whole interview* And there are some really great news for horse collectors: - Quote :
- There are ponies, draft horses and more light horse breeds already in production for 2012.
Also another interesting quote, but I don't know if she meant Collecta models or resins: - Quote :
- ... there is a new Arabian I am working on as well as a couple of Haflinger foals that are in production.
Now I can't wait to see new models even more! _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

| Some more Friesians? Oh.. Well... Hope she won't be focusing on them (and Arabians) only. I'd like to see A Saddlebred, and a Trakhenner. And yes, some draft breeds. |

They might be for Collecta but they might be resins as well. That sentence isn't clear enough. We'll have to wait _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

That thoroughbred is WANT I think they do. Or you may try to order them via utterlyhorses.com. AFAIK, they ship worldwide. Thanks to Ezhilan I have two more Collecta horses now. The Hanoverian bay stallion. He has no name yet, but I think my small Hanoverian herd is pleased to meet him anyway:) And what a gorgeous bay color he has! Yes,I'm in love with bay horses .His forelegs are a bit curved because of his long journey from India, but I think hot water would help me to solve that problem. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The second one is a Lusitano buckskin stallion. Funny enough, but my friend gave me a grey Lusitano as a present at the same day I received the package from India)) So now I have both of them! And- how different they look, though technically the differ only in color. The buckskin one seems to be lighter, and the grey one reminds me of mustangs. He's so furious... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And- don't they have sth in common with the Taboo resin horse?:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |
