Re-Ment Insects Empty
PostSubject: Re-Ment Insects   Re-Ment Insects EmptyWed Jul 07, 2010 12:35 am

Hey guys,

Recently got the new set of insects by Re-Ment, another Japanese manufacturer. I have never heard of ReMent, so I am not sure if they make other critters or not.

The insects shown are:

A) cicada, Cryptotympana facialis
B) stag beetle, Prosopocoilus sp.
C) cerambycid, Anoplophora chinensis
D) swallowtail, Papilio xuthus
E) wasp, Vespa mandarina
F) grasshopper, Locusta migratoria
G) stag beetle, Dorcus hopei
H) mantid, Mantis religiosa
I) rhinoceros beetle, Alomyrhina dichotoma
J) dragonfly, Anotogaster sieboldii

Great collection. I have never heard of them either, but they seem to make some great bugs. The cicada looks real. We used to catch them all the time when I was little.

The long-horned beetle and wasp are my favourite, but the others are cool, too!
Never heard of the company either, but I guess they did a lot of other stuff!
Nobody starts with insects as a toy company.Maybe they have fish or birds, too!

Insects are very big in Japanese culture and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a company or two that focused on them! Very Happy

Fine stuff Blaine, those Japanese never seem to fail to surprise us!
In Spain where my older brother lives, there you have lots of those cicada's, specially in the very warm months like july and august,
The buz the whole day through, and the noise is quit irritating when you are not used to it.
It sounds like if an electric-cable is broke or so...
