Black Schleich baby

I was wondering if this black baby was one that was released. I have not seen it in any of the catalogs or was it an oddity.

As far as I know the babies came in a black version as well as the white version. I have both colors in my collection, so I don't think it is an oddity.

I went to Torben's site there is not a picture of the waving black baby. I have seen the ones like on Torben's site
but I have never seen another black baby that is waving. I have all the other babies in those pictures.

There is a black waving baby, only an older model.
I have only the sitting black baby, i had two, but the second one is hanging on the mirror in the car of my girlfriend now...

That is because Torben doesn't have it...! If memory serves, there are two sets of die kleinen babies, and they are the same molds but with different skin and feature colors. I've seen all of them for auction on eBay.de.

Does anyone know what the babies were made for? A part of a family?

I think they were just made as a serie for Schleich, and not for any other company or use.
