As you might have noticed, lots of fantasy animals. That's because that is what they have been making a ton of the last years. I have most now, so there should be fewer of those int he future and hopefully they will be making more regular animals.

To finish up the Playmobil here is one that I know a few here will like, a Fjord horse

I managed to find Bullyland only as the Frankfurt zoo. I ended up with three of them

The only other animals I was able to find to get was in a toy shop in Hamburg. They had a selection of the wooden toys by Ostheimer. It was difficult deciding as they are fairly expensive, but I ended up with the flamingo because I like flamingos and the squirrel because it looked especially German to me. :)

That's all for now. More Playmobil has just come in or is on the way. I am thinking I will hit the 1000 Playmobil animal variations point some time this summer. When I do I will try to put together a single giant photo of all of them at once. I did one like that back when I had about 750, so it's time for an update. Thanks for looking :)

Are these human figures all German people?
1000 is just a remarkable number, I want to see that photo when you reach it. You have also to explain me why that squirrel look too German to you?

Very nice newcomers Tim! I like the Playmobil mountain animals. Fjord is very nice too!

And Unicorns are made on very nice moulds (the blue one and the yellow one) I wish Playmobil could use this shape for Friesian horses too (without the horn of course ), the current Playmobil Friesian is just in the same shape as their Shire horse and I think it doesn't suit the breed too well

Yes Anna, I think they could have used another mold for the Friesian. And the one they call a Tinker is not right at all. At least they are trying for breeds these days though, which is nice.

Great additions Tim. I couldn't figure out what the Marmots were (until I went to the wiki page) -- I thought they were Prairie Dogs at first (and then discovered that marmots and prairie dogs are very closely related).

Every time you put up Playmobil finds, I have to force myself to not begin collecting them. I really like them and I won't be able to stop if I start. It's a struggle.

Well there are about 1050 different ones these days (counting all the color variations). So that should be enough to scare you off for a while.

It does. It really does.

(I spent a while on eBay trying to get a sense for how pricey it would be to start collecting as well. It's just too much. So for the time being, I'm just going to keep going back to the wiki and your site and admiring your photos. Of course, that's exactly what I did with Schleich models before I started collecting them -- going to your site and looking at the pictures. It didn't end well.   )
