| So here's the wonderful gift Sue and Lesley sent me, a Lion for my lonely Lioness [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]and with his mate [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]something I noticed, my lioness has an "A" after Jeol, does anyone know what this means? I guess mine is a newer version as the material is different as well as the colour [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Congrats Harriet! One more lucky victim of Sue and Lesley generousity! I also love them. Do you have a Britains lion or lioness to take a comparison picture for me? I know I'm always talking about Britains... sorry! |

| Nice lions! I sure wish Papo would make their lioness in that lying/resting position! |

Excelent pictures, Harriet! Jeol figures have a special artistic touch, I guess! And the difference in size donnot really hurt! It is a shame that some brands are really hard to find! Thanks a lot for having all this work to show them in comparison ! |

| Wow Harriett, The Joel lions look so much more realistic than the Britains. I love them Did I miss the thread where they talk about the history of this company? I would love to know more about Joel. Thanks from me too for the comparison photos with the Britains! A lovely gift from two lovely ladies to a lovely girl. |

Thank you Sue The Lioness used to be at my grandparents house, in a box of plastic animals, when I was about three years old and when I visited I used to play with them. I liked the lioness so much that I was allowed to keep it and took it with me when we moved to Canada. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

No doubt the Jeol lioness is very nice and rare figure but -moreover- Harriet´s lioness is figure with the long history! And very experienced traveler... |

Yes ANY Jeol figures would be great! Did they only make the few that Sue and Lesley shared photos of? Was there a catalogue? I guess not if there weren't very many made... I sure appreciate it when members share photos. Thanks! |
