MPV special model horse for 2012 - Don Johnson

This year ModellPferdeVersand releases another special model - Don Johnson

He's based on one of Isabell Werth's youngest horses, Don Johnson. Just like last year's El Santo NRW ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), it was sculpted by Brigitte Eberl, and is produced by Bullyland. This model is made of different material than regular Bullyland models - more stiff and less rubber, I guess.

It will be sold at Pferd International in Munich, 17-20 May. Unsold ones will be most probably sold later via ModellPferdeVersand.
Number of models produced is currently unknown to me.


I think he looks way better than El Santo, I guess it's because of the new material. Don Johnson seems to be quite detailed and having nice proportions. And he seems to have a rare pose in this type of models, I think he's doing a pirouette. Paintjob is poor, but this could be easily solved :) I'd love to get one of those!

He's beautiful! I do wish Bullyland were more available here in the USA. He'd sure be on my wishlist!

Hopefully they will be available on MPV, I NEED this one! The previous two special models, Satchmo and El Santo NRW, didn't impress me as much!

Today I visited "Pferd International" and could also visit Nicolette Lerch
from MPV.

The new special model "Don Johnson" from Bullyland/MPV is very pretty. I bought 4 horses. If anyone is interested in, two are still available.
One costs 9.00 € + shipping costs (3.95 €). But have a look at the photos.

Nice horse. And it's really great that Bullyland produce new models for their LEs, not just repaint the old ones (like Schleich).

Some time ago I visited MPV and found out that this year MPV SE Don Johnson's no longer available. Or I would rather say available in resin only. Il Santo's still in stock, but unsigned copies only.
It's really funny how popular Don Johnson's turned out to be, don't you think? I wonder if those who focus mainly on Artist Resins and Breyer horses got him too because of being sculptured by Eberl:)

Don Johnson, I think he is a great horse.
According to the pictures I saw, he's the nicest Bullyland horse.

That's fair, those are wonderful horses, completely new sculpts from known sculptors, what shoud be called special editions. This is a good example, it deserves our cumplement.
I confess I was tempted to get them although I don't collect horses!

I have both El Santo and Don Johnson, and I can see why Don Johnson was sold out so quickly! El Santo is great, but Don Johnson is absolutely stunning.

Don Johnson is available again on MPV, I've just checked :)

I'm not surprised :) my guy does very well in photo shows and did well at his live show
