Lineol made 5 different grazing horses. this is the last one, Serie IV from 1940 to 1960.

Thank you Anna!  Yes, I also love the way the mane falls down over it's ears, whoever sculpted it really captured the feel of a horse perfectly.
I know, there really is no comparison to Schleich.

That is a magnificent piece, Harriet! :DIt looks to me the same as the lighter one although details are more visible. Lineol had many generations of figures and probably it was an update of that version. We need our Vintage experts here.

Thank you Christophe and Roger!  That's really interesting to know there were 5 different ones, be fun seeing them all side by side to look at the differences.

It's was in really good nick actually - in the photo I thought one of the ears was missing, but when it arrived they were perfect, nice surprise!  Thanks Robert.

Last Wednesday I received a package from Anna, containing two gorgeous figures by her and four exquisitely designed cards. Three of which were to go with models I already had from Anna, Nyala, Snow Leopard and Pronghorn. I've been waiting for some nice weather to take photos and only today has the sun come out!!

I would do it! I have even framed my 'certificate' of my Schleich white Friesian, but these cards are way, waaaay more worth to be framed
