| Which animals do you think are going to retire this year? |

| I am almost positive the Clydesdale stallion and foal are retiring because the mare is gone. when the mare is gone it usually means the rest of the herd is retired , just like the shires. |

| I don't think there's any way to know.
But here's the formula I use. I look at the online list of figures currently available at Schleich's website. Then I ask myself: if I were starting to collect figures today, which ones, of the figures I already own, would I be most disappointed about if they retired today? Of the first four or five that come to mind, at least one of those is bound to be retired.
That means that from the Wildlife, it will be at least one of these:
Jaguar Yak American Bison Whale Shark

Im wondering if they will go with, "out with the old and in with the new" Purhaps they got rid of our old Clydie mare to make room for a newer lady?? Purhaps in the next few years?? Im thinking bye bye to the older arab foal and maybe the lying haflinger??? Have no idea about the other animals... |

| Retiring the old Arab Foal would be a shame; it is such a lovely figure. But I think you might be right Katty. Not only is it fairly old, it seems to fit better with the old, retired, Arabian Stallion than it does with the one Schleich presently produces. |

Have no idea about the other animals... Quite agree with you, they might be making some room for the new Clyde mare in 2013 or 2014. I believe that Andalusian stallion might be retired soon, the old Arabian foal, maybe Palomino, Lipizanner and Hanoverian mare. They are too old-style. |

| I think the next items retireing:
- Old arabian foal - Hannoveraners - Andalusier stallion - Mustang stallion - Ligging haflinger foal
- Old car with trailer - Horsestable (I hope for a new stable)

I don't think the Hannovers are going to be retired, just like the andalusian. his mare and foal aren't that old yet. I'm not sure about the Mustang. I was surprised they didn't take both of them last year. Maby there will be a mare and a foal next year |

I was surprised they didn't take both of them last year. Maby there will be a mare and a foal next year I heard they retired the white mustang because his - you know what I mean - was too striking. People complained about it.. Not sure though, but it could be really possible! Since Schleich is normally ment for children. The Lippizaner's are also pretty old models, I see the chance they remove them.. The haflinger stallion doesn't fit with the mare and foal in my opinion. He looks like an 'old' schleich, while the others look like newer ones. And if Schleich doesn't make a family who fits with the Palomino stallion, I see him retiring too. |

| your absolutely right. the lippizaners are also old, 2004 or so. About the haflingers: the mare is also a bit old. not as old as the stallion, but she is. I don't mind if the palomino will be retired, I didn't like the figure. If you look at other lonely stallions: the quarter isn't that old, but he never had a mare. just like the Lusitano. (I don't know if it is English ) maby they are retired to |

| I think it would be good if they retire and possibly replace following horse figures : Knabstrupper mare, Pinto mare, Palomino gelding, Icelandic horse stallion (yes the one released in 2012 ) maybe some of Lipizanners but compared to horses which I mentioned in list above they are not bad at all, in my opinion :) I really hope they will not retire QH or Lusitano, these 2 are really nice models Maybe new Friesian mare would be nice to see? I like the current model but stallion is so beautiful that I think it would be great to see the mare updated _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

I was thinking about the white-tailed deers too... They look very out-dated in the Schleich shelf when all the other figures are so detailed. _________________ Krista || zombiebambiraptor.blogspot.com

I was thinking about the white-tailed deers too... They look very out-dated in the Schleich shelf when all the other figures are so detailed. It's really true. The White-Tailed set is not nearly as strong as either the Red Deer or the Roe Deer. And Schleich retired the Roe! I am baffled by their choices. (In making these decisions, they must only use data about sales.) - A-J wrote:

Or maybe they were supposed to retire the white-tailed deer, but accidentally informed the staff to retire the roe deer lol... :''D _________________ Krista || zombiebambiraptor.blogspot.com

| White tails are the most popular deers in US market while red deers are in European market. See Safari and Mojo. Their main market is the North American and they have white tails and not red deers. Papo and Bullyland, whose main market is the European, have red deers and their range and not white tails. Schleich kept both once the brand is very strong in two markets. Roe deers have a secondary space in European market so it explains their choice. I agree that Schleich white tails are poor figures and probabily they will be replaced soon. There's also an unbalanced product once calves sell nicely while does are very hard to sell. :reindeer: |
