I think it will be nice someone put this hyena with the Schleich lion to comparison size! I'm not a big fan of the Safari hyena looks like a prehistoric hyena, but I like the dirty looking! :) Real ones to compare, this female is a matriarch and females are larger than males! Don't worry Susanne, are only playing!:)

Well, both the safari and Great White Pelican have black on the wing feather tips, you can only see the black when they have their wings open. But I'm not saying it is, Willy and Christophe are more likely to be right than me. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| I think that Australian pelican is out of the picture, it has black back. So, American or Great white... Why those two old and crazy guys don't agree about this pelican Well maybe Willy chosed to named this model Australian because of the black coloured feathers... Like this one... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I decided myself for a American White Pelican because of the eyes ... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And also because of this... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]So IMHO, it is an American White Pelican (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos) |

| Yes, the skin around the eyes says it's American, thanks Chris. Now when I'm sure which one is it, I'm not interested any more... _________________ Robert

| Oh, late in the topic! When we were discussing the new Papo I was also very confused and I concluded that my Safari pelican was an American White pelican too! Last time I talked with Willy he said that he was very busy! I hope to see him here soon, and so many time without posting, next time he will show a complete Zoo!:) |

| Once I touched one of those great white pelicans... It was so silky and soft! I like pelicans so much, it´s a pity we don´t have many of them where I live. _________________ Visit my collection gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Visit my art gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I accept commissions! |

| Well Robert, it certainly doesn't look like the Great White Pelican. I obviously didn't look closely, they're pinky coloured - in which case I agree with Christophe! _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

American, Robert! Unfortunately for you it is a Caribean flamingo, unless someone with different opinion turn it in a Greater, but you can always make a nice paintwork and change it like I told for the CollectA spoonbill!you :) |

The greater is paler than the Safari! And Safari has some preference for American species, don't know why??? |

| That doesn't have to be true, their color depends on their diet - the amount of alpha and beta carotenoid pigments. Greater flamingo [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Caribbean [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Is there any physical difference between them, beside color? _________________ Robert
