the is no such thing as a sabre toothed tiger the real word is sabre toothed cat and there were lots of species of them and the largest was smilodon populator it was probaly the heaviest of cats but not the tallest or longest ranging up to 300-400kg this knife toothed cat lived in south america and its ancestors invaded north america about 3 million years ago.
