I found this ray and this molitor. They are in a good quality but without anything about the brand- also no " Made in china".

Can anybody please help
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

And also please with the species? I would say the ray is a common torpedo but he have only 2 and not 5 blue spots. And is the molitor a nile molitor, i am not sure?

the nice monitor! Another question is: is it meant to be an approach for Varanus giganteus? Or even V.melinus? I even see V.glauerti..... question

You may be right as this is a "new" species and i think this model could be off a collection of australian reptiles or something?

PostSubject: Unknown maker Australian freshwater Crocodile    Steve Irwin animals EmptySun 17 Feb 2013, 14:53

Heyho,
i just received this one:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I assume it's a Crocodylus johnsoni, according to this guide and the scales of the neck.
CITES Crocodile ID Guide

As there are some scratches, you can see that it's actually made of clear plastic,..
I already renovated the paintjob, before that, the position of the jaws was corrected. I really like this one, but it's not marked and i know nothing about it. Maybe anyone else?
Are there further Crocodilians of that maker?

I also don't know the brand. However I agree that identifying it as a false garial is a good option. The other crocodileian more or less similar is the slender-snouted crocodile but the false garial fits better, I guess. Very Happy

I think it is more a Slender snout crocodile, a Johnston crocodile or an Orinoco crocdile than a false gharial.

The false gharial lack post-occipital spines. Wink

Because of the post-occipital spines, i think it's really meant to be a Freshie,....and so it could be really part of a set including at least the monitor here as well (???):
