| Here's what I think about the Mojo clouded leopard. First off I think I can relate to why the leopard has a 'smiling' face. It's natural in many animals to have a mouth gape that makes it look like it's smiling. It becomes the most obvious when you completely take away the body markings (think dolphins and dogs) and all, in this case the paintwork is simple (and it has to be for mass-production purposes). Aside from that, the sculpt looks realistic enough to me I've seen juvie clouded leopards in my hometown, their tails are very long to help with hanging down from the branches! |

- Really nice, Moyo made a cat which looks like similar to a clouded leopard, but unfortunately, it just looks like one, too bad, tehy didn't made really a clouded leopard.
So I think, I should send them pcitures of clouded leopards, so can they see, how this species is looking, so maybe they will recognize, they made a totally wrong body,a wrong colour and wrong spots, and whats worse-its smiling !
Mojo made a really good step in the right direction doing great and unuasally species-now thyy have to do the next step, to make GREAT and realistic looking figures of them-maybe in a couple of years. I hope, they will do then better models of the same specis......
Not all of their figures are bad, but this one is of them worse models from Mojo, also the honey badgers
And no, I'm NOT to strong with them, just dissappointed. So I asked myself... Maybe I'm wrong and maybe we are a lot to be wrong... I guess it was time to make some real critics to MOJÖ team to explain them and to explain us that maybe there are a lot of mistakes in this clouded leopard toy. IMHO it is the best I can do for MOJÖ to help them to make better models. So i agree it is time to show some pictures of clouded leopards to MOJÖ and to the (too much) enthusiast members of STS. I thought it would be a hard job Then I first googled two minutes, indeed less than that , and the answer really jumps out at me A clouded leopard can't look like it is smiling Never !

| WORSE than that ! Clouded leopard can't look like the MOJÖ poor interpretation I hope it could help MOJÖ (and maybe some others ) to improve their models or their critics |

| It is still a bit cloudy for me - Is there a way someone can post this figure in front view as well. I would also appreciate if someone can place it next to a REAL big cat (not only from PAPO) - The clouded Leopard is NOT a big cat NOR a small cat - I think that it is in between Cats :)
The size of this cat should not be large as other big cats and not small as domestic cats and other small cats.
It looks to me that it is big, Am I wrong?
Thank You. |

This figure is roughly 1:15 scale, so it is in scale with the Papo Lions, Safari Ltd Wild Safari Lions, Papo Leopard & Panther, Mojo Leopard & Panther, Schleich Jaguar, CollectA Lynx, Mojo Iberian Lynx, Safari Ltd. Wild Safari North American Wildlife Mountain Lion... But it is too big if, say, displayed next to any of the Tigers produced by any of the brands. |

| Not that I am saying the this Clouded leopard coloring is correct BUT there are three clouded leopard subspecies, Of which one is already extinct. The remaining two sub sp. are: indochinese clouded leoparddiard’s clouded leopardThey both have different fur color markings and I think this one is more Indochinese sub species then diard’s. I have found the perfect Clouded leopard figure that I wish I could have - if it cost cheap and made of plastic and also not needed to wait two years for it :) You can see it here: (I could not resist posting it! I just had to do that!) - Thank you Kiki for giving me the link :) This is how you do a clouded leopard and the fur marking are just unbelievable awesome! It has personality and it gives the RIGHT impression of a clouded leopard - this is not a kitty :). When I first looks at the figure I assumed that the artist over did the mouth openeing and that the growl looks wolverinish - But, I was wrong and that "kitty" can growl - and that is the right face of a growling Clouded Leopard. BTW Clouded leopards have the largest canine teeth relative to their body size of all large cats. Hope that someone from the major brands will see this model and create one like this. Really hoping that we will have this remarkable creature added to our collections. Arye |

I agree with you completely. This is a great sculpting of a Clouded Leopard with a fantastic pose, however, I think it is in dire need of a repaint. |
