The exclusive schleich white cat for 99,99 dollars. What a price, at least to me. But somebody else might find it low or acceptable. Just wanted to post the thing.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The price is not THAT bad, actually. My wonderfully crazy cousin in USA gave me the set for a late christmas gift. She had bought it from Australia, and the seller ( shame on him) had included the receit. The set was 44,95 $, shipping 40 $, tax 7,73 $, which is a total of 84,95 $, - so not much left for profit to Samson |

| A Nardi black panther for 75€. Nardi was an Italian composition toys manufacturer. Now I wonder if the price is so incredible... HERE is the link to the auction.

| Maybe it is with a signature of the seller , maybe there is Tom Hanks behind the sellers name, who knows ?
I never would pay that Price-it is too cheap, and if a Thing has such a low Price, it can be worth nothing. |

"Fred" asks for big money for rarities. I remember seeing this wonderfully murky fellow auction for 250 euros once on eBay.fr, but I think that is maybe double its real value in the marketplace... |

Neeh, not for me...
Some collectors who are able to spend a lot of money for those Starlux would never spend a cent for a Schleich or other modern model, even for the rarest
We collectors are really strange people I'd say the opposite, that collectors who set defined boundaries to what they collect are being (slightly) less strange - because they are accepting the reality that no one can collect everything. Of course, when it comes to spending large sums on single rare figures it depends how strictly and narrowly their collection is defined, and what else, within those limits, they might have spent that money on instead. So, for a collector of Starlux figures, or just some series of Starlux figures, the questions they should be asking themselves include: How many other, considerably cheaper, Starlux figures do I still need to complete my collection?, and, What are my chances of another opportunity of buying this rare figure again, perhaps cheaper next time it turns up? Generally, the broader the range of a person's collection, the less justification there is for buying rare expensive items, for the simple reason that money would be better spent on buying a lot of cheaper items. Granted, it does get a bit more complicated, when choosing what to spend your limited cash on, for those (& I suspect there are many) who have broader overall collections, but with priority parts, such as perhaps a vintage UK made zoo collector who might prioritise Britains and Taylor & Barrett, but collect the other brands as well. |

Dave, I was just joking I guess my collection's range is broad enough and, even if Starlux models remembered me my youth I would not spend so much money for that model... For teh good reasons your are explaining here. |
