| I'm contemplating on buying the Jaguar for my collection, since it is more accurate than the Papo jaguar. My problem is the stock photo every seller is using for the jaguar figure. Look at the spots: (missing picture) They are painted by someone using a ruler. Straight horizantal spots. And there is my problem....I find it plain ugly. But when I look at the pictures some members posted here, the spots are always more irregular. Skysthelimit: (missing picture) MartinH: (missing picture) Steve170: (missing picture) Now my question is: Did anyone ever order the Schleich jaguar and ended up with the horrible rectilinear spots, or do you all have lovely jags with spots all over the place? |

| Mine has irregular spots. I think that sometimes manufacturers use a picture of one model that they painted, but the real model is different in real life. An example would be the new schleich longhorn. In the stock photo, both horns point up, and the white on the face seems to cover a larger area. But in real life, one of the horns bend down. This is just my opinion though. :) |

| Mine also have irregular spots, so I suppose that the pattern you'll find will be also irregular [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Irregular spots make me very happy! I think it is safe to asume that all jaguars have nice spots by the look of it. *puts Jaguar back on wish list* @ cattlecollector: Sometimes (or maybe even most of the times) stock photos and what you'll be actually getting, always turn out very different. But most of the time the figure you're buying is not as nice as the stock photo. In the case of this jaguar I think the figure looks better than the stock photo. But that's just my opinion ofcourse. |

| I don't know about animal figures, but in quite many products, the catalog and commercial photos are actually illustrations (3D or vector graphics) and not photos.... _________________ Krista || zombiebambiraptor.blogspot.com

| Here is mine. I think they are irregular.
I love this model. One of my top ten favorites by Schleich (and I have a lot of favorites by Schleich), and definitely by favorite Jaguar model, by any company. It captures the shape of the body so wonderfully.

| Mine is definitely made in China. Based on the comparison pictures from the recent Germany-versus-China thread, I think you are right Susanne; they all look like the made-in-China Jaguar from that picture. |

| I'm not sure if you would describe this one as regular or irregular. It's made in China. |

| I would call that irregular. Nice beautiful, messy set of spots. All those pics of jaguar makes me want to buy it right now! But no more purchases until February.... |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> I agree with you all. the Schleich Jaguar is by far the most perfect in every way. it has captured the shape of this stocky cat superbly. The Papo one is not good...It looks like a leopard almost with a tail twice as long as it should be and a small head. Even the build of the Papo Jaguar is wrong. |

| I have the German made one, it has more regular spots. I like the fact that there is a variation.
This figure is lovely, it has the most wonderful face and eyes that look up, the way the front shoulders moulded, you can a sense of amassed power, like a heavy weight boxer. |
