| Congrats, Roger! Well, how do you feel about Breyer SM now? Want some more? I love the scratching foal and the Warmblood- their color is rather interesting (pinto and roans are among my faves, yes)) |

I love the scratching foal and the Warmblood- their color is rather interesting (pinto and roans are among my faves, yes)) Thanks Daria, I must show my first Breyer SM bull and bird that I received from you! They are really nice, horses are superb, not only in colors but also in movement and sculpting, I guess! If you have a heavy horse... Well, I do have heavy horses (a Belgian drafter and a Shire horse). And sth like Brabant (not sure about the breed). Do you like piebald horses?)) I think piebald horses are the favourites of my niece if I know what it is. I suppose the China horse I'm showing is a piebald one? Colors are not important for me but to have a little collections of different kind of horses. As except the warblood, all I own are light horses I think it would be great to add a heavy horse and probably, in future, also a pony! I know there are lots of breeds, morpholgies, colors, etc. but I only want a limited group. |

| The oryx and wild dog are among my favorites, and that includes extinct animal figures too! There's just something about these 2 that I cannot put into words. Just amazing-looking animals. Kinda makes me wish I had my own zoo. |

| I agree with you, those models are really wonderful. I spend my time now displaying in a new way my collection and I was enjoying those models yesterday... I'm very happy you revived this topic today |

Thanks! They are very good indeed. I have a weird style of collecting. I have a figure of a species and when I find a better one I replace the previous one trading or giving it. But these 2 are so nice that I'm not planing to replace them even I find better ones. |

My idea is to get the same type of animal by various brands to create herds, etc. When it comes to extant animals, my main interest is in the oryx/antelope family. So far, I only really have the Mojo Fun Sable, and the Safari Arabian Oryx, but I'd like to get more Sables (it seems every brand has made these quite well!) and of course, some Gemsbok. As an old Zoo Tycoon fan, their animals have influenced my taste as well, which is why I developed such a love for African Wild Dogs. My biggest wish for the Antelope/Oryx family is for major brands like Safari and Mojo to release Addax, Bluebuck (extinct), Blackbuck, and Scimitar-Horned Oryx figures - all of which were featured in ZT games of course. |

Some build herds and packs. Some collect variants, some want only the best model of each species, some only want small ones, some only want old ones, some only want horses...I think they are all very smart
But a few are like me...I want it ALL
THAT is nuts !!!!! I'm pretty particular. I don't collect horses, farm animals, domestic animals, etc. Maybe I'd buy a Przewalski's Wild Horse. I generally buy Safari, and I have some Papo's (mostly dinosaurs). It was only 2 weeks ago that I got my first Schleich, Collecta, and Mojo figures but for the most part, I don't like much of what these companies put out. I couldn't dream of getting rid of what I have though, and I want more oryx' and antelopes. What's really exciting for me is waiting for these companies to put out new figures, especially of species that aren't yet available. |

Well, to be an adulte collector of plastic toys is also considered nuts to many people and of course my way of collecting is weird as I told. But isn't it nuts to make a herd of sables with 3 males and 1 female when we know that it is usually the opposite in real life? Or to make a herd with a common sable in the middle of giant sables? Everything is nuts, the only pack I have in my collection is of foxes, about 40, when we know that foxes are solitary animals. :) About your wishes with antelopes I can say that you should feel lucky, not only because of 2012 but also because 2013 will bring some new antelopes to the market. |
