| Congrats! I really like to see the Lynx arrived sfely and i will have the soala one day too! I recently watched a tv-program concerninfg the two remaining populations of the iberian lynx. the smaller one shows the pattern i tried to copy in my repaint. Scientists aren't sure whether this appearance isn't biased by inbreeding. |

Well, maybe not a real striped skunk, but not a hooded skunk too: It isn't hooded Exactly Christophe, the fact of not being hooded is what makes me have so many doubts. If it was hooded I was sure it was a hooded skunk. Maybe there is another species with such a long tail and not hooded and with the patternation of a hooded skunk. |

| Fantastic additions Roger! They are all so great. The Mojos and CollectAs are wonderful (and make me green with envy). And I agree with Harriet: The Lynx is really beautiful! That running Britains Rhino is a particular favorite of mine (I don't have it; it's just a favorite...from afar). A big big congratulations to you!! |

| Congrats for all of those fantastic additions! So many I still don't have, but your pics make me want them more. Big congrats, especially on that great lynx repaint! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Lots of wonderful additions Roger, so many nice antelope this year. There is such a variety now I have trouble deciding which to get. (Of course I know the correct collecting answer is all of them, but I do try to be sensible sometimes. Always more that I want than I can get) _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

Tim, From CollectA 2013 antelopes my recomendation goes: number 1 blackbuck, rarely done and the figure is superb; nº 2 saola, not so exciting figure but a species that you probably can't find in your huge collection; Nº 3 Oryx, you have probably the Starlux featuring the same species and almost in the same pose and there are many other oryx figures even they represent different species, the figure is very good, better than in pictures and with a strong movement. |

He is neat!! And the artic fox.... Fantastic. Quirky but great. Congrats on all of your new models. Old and new. |

| During these days I received some wonderful figures, most of them gifts from our friends! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bullyland wolverine, hard to find but it looks that there is no impossible figures to Yvett! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bullyland old pelican, surprise gift from Yvett, it is not an impressive figure but my empathy with it is growing a lot! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bullyland 1st foxes, the only Bully foxes missing in my collection and I got red and brown variations, first from Susanne, 2nd from Yvett! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Australian Yowies Fennec Fox, from Susanne. My 2nd puzzle fox, other was the Furuta bat-eared fox from Ken. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]An hard plastic crazy fox I received a long time from Carolynn, this fox was sent with a figure that is not an addition but a friend. I'll show it in a future circunstance. It is marked but I can't read, I love her skunk pose! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Starlux Hartebeest, from Shawn with Yvette's help. A beautiful piece, some Starlux have strange designs but their antelopes look very nice. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Starlux Giant anteater, fabulous gift from Susanne, far from realistic but absolutly adictive. I love it, it is even more alienigene than a real anteater. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Nayab (HP China) giant anteater, gift from Andreas! Beautiful little figure. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Papo 2013 Giant Anteater. Another gift from Susanne! It is a very good figure, again Papo used a Vintage touch to the figure, the painting, texture, body shape, finish, crest, everything makes me think in some vintage anteaters! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Papo Berber mare, I know this is not an accurate horse but I think I like her almost as much as Carola loves Princess! Susanne tried before to send one to me but unfortunately it got lost somewhere during shipping. Though, Yvett found it for me and now I am a proud owner of a Berb girl! I received some more, including some composition figures that I'll show next time I have the chance of taking pictures. Thanks to everyone that helps me finding these treasures and enriching my collection. Because of it, I am since today and officially, not only a foxes collector but also an Anteaters collector, I wished a lot to collect them before but it seemed almost impossible to find the first one, now, with the help of Robert, Taylor, Willy, Christophe, Suebeedo, Susanne, Yvette, Harriet and Nando, I can say that I have a little collection of my favorite animal. |

| Fantastic additions Roger! Congratulations!! There are some great finds here. The Starlux Hartebeest is my favorite of the bunch. It is utterly gorgeous. (And really hard to find!) (It's also interesting to me that the starlux anteater is probably more accurate than the Schleich. ) |

(It's also interesting to me that the starlux anteater is probably more accurate than the Schleich. ) Scott, I don't think Starlux anteater is more accurate only because head is more tubular. The Starlux is very geometrical, walk like a feline and has an important mistake once front claws are pointed forward. Coloring is also bizarre. If you don't mind, I reply here to formicivores discussion. Figures from Schleich anteater generation, have all a very appealing looking once there is an effort of designers of turning the animals comprehensive to kids minimizing the unusual characteristics of some exotic creatures. Also, they suffer from something that I use the neologism "ponized design". Think in the differences between a pony and a horse - shorter legs, relatively large head, chubby appearance and loads of cuteness. The hyena, that I also have, is clearly a ponized figure, she looks terribly cute and it is nice indeed. Though, I like best hyena from Bayala series that is completely different. About the anteater, this is not lack of talent from sculptor but an intentional design. Schleich anteater is the only figure of this animal I know that have a comprehensive face when seeing from frontal view, we even can see both eyes. Human brains are prepared to assimilate this face layout... or not! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Schleich Anteater Now a consensual Schleich figure, that everyone assumes as a masterpiece but that mixes all design vicissitudes previously described. You can see the ponised on body... and... Real oryx [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Notice the narrow and weird shaped face/head, it is only wider on top. See also the unusual ears. Also, the laterally placed eyes, normal in an animal that needs to manage with a lot of predators. Schleich oryx [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here a wide muzzle, cheecks/face also wide and ears with a more common shape. Also eyes, are more comprehensive from frontal view. This layout of a wide face/muzzle this hsape of the years and the eyes slightly more frontally placed, are very known and much more friendly to us once we see it often in domestic cattle. Real cow [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Sorry, the cow is not the best but I enjoy her face! The concept is simple, a music is commercial when it follows a very known formula, being repetitive and easy to assimilate. I enjoy weird figures as well as cute figures, but what I enjoy best, is a figure that works like a book to me. I love to pick one of my animals and use it to identify the characteristics of a certain species enjoying this wonderful diversity that Nature provide us. |
